I've just discovered that Yoshihiro Ike (Jyoou no Kyoushitsu, Nobuta o Produce) will compose the music for Saito San. I wonder what he can do on a real comedy...[/b]

Oguri plays a poor but optimistic college student in this comical story. Because of his overly nice personality, he ends up taking on other people's debts and faces various challenges to pay off those debts.
The series premieres in January and will air on Tuesdays at 10:00pm. BENNIE K will sing the show's theme song, the first they have ever done for a television drama.
Shun's drama has the same producer as Haken no Hinkaku, Hotaru no Hikari and anego so im expecting a good comedy series..

Oh shoot for "Hachimitsu to Clover". Or more like.. the cast.
Someone care to tell me how did Ikuta Toma do in Hana Kimi?
Because I never got past episode 3. Too.. dull.
But the image I got was that basically any young actor could have played that role and no one would have complained about the result.
I'm happy for seeing Shingo in a drama again and hope it's as good as the mags have been hyping
Now only someone should cast Nakai in something splendid for 2008 and it'd be a wrap for me ^^ _________________
From the web site, seems like this is the first in a series of Japanese live action movies w/ a Kung-Fu theme to be released next year (culminated by Shibasaki Kou's Shaolin Girl).
Wonder if Juri-sama is going to kick some butts in this movie...

Actress Misaki Ito will take on a starring role in a TBS drama series titled "Edison no Haha."
Described as partly comedy, the series focuses on Noriko Ayukawa (Ito), the teacher of a class of first-graders. One day, a boy named Kento transfers into her class from another school, where he was treated as a problem child. In reality, the inquisitive Kento actually displays potential as a prodigy, and it's up to Noriko to figure out how to handle him.
The story draws inspiration from the childhood of famous inventor Thomas Edison, who was also considered a problem child by most adults around him.
Ito commented that she loves children, and is actually qualified as a kindergarten and nursery teacher.
The role of Kento will be played by 6-year-old Yuya Shimizu. This is his major role in a drama. Maki Sakai has been cast as Kento's mother, and Shosuke Tanihara plays a university professor who is Noriko's ex-boyfriend. Other cast members include Kaoru Sugita and Yuki Matsushita.
TBS will broadcast the drama on Fridays at 10:00pm, starting on January 11.
Not quite sure why this drama is not popular but I thought Shigeshoshi (�����ώt) is quite unique and worth a watch.

Who said Tsutsumi Shinichi is a guaranteed brand to good dramas ? SP =security police really bored me and i waited so long for it. The other drama where he was the gangster was also a letdown, so was one recent movie where he acted as a Heian priest. Well, I can only wait for his movie sequel, "always" as a compensation for wasted time.

Rumors of a third season of the "Gokusen" drama series were confirmed on Wednesday. Yukie Nakama will reprise her role as the teacher Kumiko Yamaguchi (affectionately known as "Yankumi").
Based on a manga by Kozueko Morimoto, "Gokusen" has already had two previous seasons. The first, in 2002, averaged ratings of 17.4%, while the 2005 sequel averaged ratings of 28.0%.
The third series will premiere in April on NTV, though the specific time slot has not yet been announced. Casting for the students will be decided around the end of this year.

. dunno about Narumi Riko. i didn't like her in Juken no Kamisama though.
