Hey, in INXS's (yes, an '80s band) Listen Like Thieves video, they're all carrying automatic weapons (that will continue to kick butt even in the age of laser weapons [not "laser-guided"]) as metaphors. Then . . . the age of political correctness came around for the '90s and beyond crowd, and what? All you see 50 Cent wearing is an empty shoulder holster in one of his videos, am I correct? What hip-hopper can carry a gun in his or her videos without the item getting mosaic'd out? You can't even find dangerous animals (like in many of Duran Duran's videos) in today's music vids. I guess 80s folk were, no, are, more 'sponsible. Hey, I'm trying to make a point here, but I'm trying to be nice here, too!
