Finished ep 10 of Stand Up...OK, what the hell was that?...
This was a funny, happy go lucky sex farce up until now, and then they had to do this in the second to last episode...
By God, there had better be a world of redemption in the last episode...

As it turned out, there was a world of redemption in the final ep...All's well that ends well...
overall, the only thing that kept me watching was Suzuki Anne... _________________

The thing that made me like Stand Up!! so much was that it started out a silly little teenage sex farce... and became something different... something of value in the end.
I finished Haken no Hinkaku last night and I loved it.
But I have to say... I think I appreciated it more because I had to stop in the middle (those technical difficulties) and I watched Vampire Gigolo while I waited for the second half of "Haken" to arrive.
"Vampire" wasn't awful. It was just... simple. A little gothic comic mystery show that wore out its welcome long before the series ended. I expect it was aimed at a much different demographic than the one I belong to.
After sitting through "Vampire" my appreciation of Ryoko Shinohara and what she was doing... shot through the roof.
"Haken" is kind of a light weight, high concept show... but the people doing it elevated it to another level and turned it into a great watch. _________________

Finished watching Dream Again tonight.

Said it in the official thread, but...yea, ending was far too 'Japanese' and not 'Korean' if you catch my drift. Knocked the series almost completely flat on it's back to be honest.
Moving on, watching Utahime Ep 10 tonight, and enjoying Iryu 2's new set of characters as well as I go into Episode 7. While this season hasn't been the strongest, they are tolerable (much better than that awful summer season we had! )
I had a problem to begin with since I always want Kuninaka Ryoko to be Eri from Churasan and Ayase to be Aki from Crying Out Love. So my world was turned upside down.

Ayase as the slovenly OL and Ryoko as the glamour girl OL.
It took some getting used to their portrayal of their respective parts. But when I finally did, I have to say that Ayase is truly a remarkable actor.... to be able to play such varying roles as in Crying and now in this with such incredible realism. Sadly Ryoko chan's part was more supporting role than co lead. Nevertheless, for me this will be worth watching at least once more and possibly several times though it does not rank in the Kimutaku rarefied atmosphere of Pride and Love Gen.
8/10
Ya know, I wasnt' really into the drama for the first 6 or so episodes... but things are slowly starting to evolves. It's like... crept up on me. _________________
This is the episode that upset me...What's your take on it?
It REALLY upset me, and mostly because it was uncalled for. I mean, I can understand (after some reflection) how it fits, since each character matures throughout the drama. But still... I still have to watch the last episdoe, so I'll see how things pan out.
