There are several methods of subbing currently used. "Hard" subtitles, or hard subs, are encoded into the footage, and thus become hard to remove from the video without losing video quality (this can be done with a VirtualDub Filter). "Soft" subtitles, or soft subs, are subtitles applied at playback time from a subtitle datafile, either mixed directly into the video file, or in a separate file. With the correct media player or an auxiliary program softsubs are superimposed on the footage and appear indistinguishable from hardsubs. Hard subs have traditionally been more popular than softsubs, due to a lack of player support and worries over plagiarism, but recently (as of 2006) several major fansub groups have begun using softsubs. Since modern video media can contain multiple softsubs, some groups release fansubs with several translations into different languages, or differently styled subtitles to fit different preferences.

it is from Nakai Masahiro no Super Drama Festival last week. I already download it Toma played bowling very well and he goes to final with one of the actor (I forgot his name).

Narumi Riko can't join them because, it is a rule in japan where the underage actress are not allowed to appear in tv shows after 10pm. (thanks yanie for this info) thats why Toma have to bring her substituted here and there

Yup, that's also why you won't see kids under 20 (aka HSJ) performing after 12 in Countdown. Even NEWS ave to cut out some of its members from appearing in Countdown after 12 when they first debuted. But I think after 10pm refers to kids under 16, while 16-20 are not allowed after 12pm. Like how last year, 16-year-olds Kie Kitano & Saki Fukuda left after 10pm after playing for only 1 hour.

While I was in Tokyo for NEWS concert last week I got a chance to see the first episode of this drama which was on air last Tuesday. Toma is so cute.. completely falling in love with him. He acts well. I love his eyes expression. I think the character suits him well.. and hopefully we will see how his acting improves in this drama...

Wow! Glad that there is a drama for Hachimitsu to Clover since the movie wasn't so great although I like Sho~And there's Toma! Woo!! There's no doubt that he's going to act well again I really can't wait to watch this drama~hopefully it will turn out to be better than the movie.

I don't think you missed anything. Nakai might've given a bunch to him during commercial or something. But yeah Toma was taking them out of his jacket. But if you saw, Koyama was doing the same thing too. And later at the end, when Shingo bowled, Nakai offered Shingo a piece of candy, but Shingo didn't take it.

the sweets that Nakai gave it to him. before the game start, Nakai asked his wish this year, and Toma said that he wanted to be like Nakai-san (correct me if I'm wrong)..so Nakai gave him candy, in other meaning to lend his 'power' to Toma and each time Toma start to play, he will eat the candy, hoping that Nakai's power will grow up in him (credit again to yanie )

i've yet to watch the first episode yet but from the pics i've seen so far, i can't really say that the cast fits the role...i mean i totally can't imagine narumi riko as hagu and even though i love ikuta toma i just feel that he does not really fit his role too...maybe that's just me...i always feel that watching a drama after watching the anime is just a bit weird cause i would totally compare the actors to the character they're portraying
