Picked up Orange Box some time ago, but I was too busy playing Call of Duty 4 (imo game of the year), so now I'm catching up now and replaying Half Life 2 now and loving it.

Since he talks Bioshock, he must own a 360
but man, COD4 is just too awesome - I finished the game twice (on normal and insane) sad to say rumors are telling that COD5 will be developed by Treyarch and will be set (yet again) in a WWII environment I'm so sick and tired of killing nazis.

Portal! Best game ever! This thing had me hooked right when it was released, and it still has me hooked. The concept is... so bloody brilliant.
CoD5 in multiplayer would be interesting if they'd add a Pacific theater. I wouldn't mind killing a few blue-eyed devils Or maybe... CoD 5 Revenge of the Axis? I wouldn't mind playing as Axis in single player, would be something new.
I've been playing too much CoD 4 before going on vacation. Dear god, some servers... spawnkilling extreme. Average survival time... I'd say 15 seconds.
But I've noticed one thing lately. We PC gamers are getting the shitty end of the stick. Crysis, yes, it looks great, but version 1.0 is Bug City (I had clipping errors, I ran INTO a hill instead of running up on it more than once, and I couldn't finish the chopper level because the chopper wouldn't react to my orders). Which proves that looks aren't everything. The Crysis gameplay, for example, can't compete with Hitman. Or Kane & Lynch, great concept of a game, but yikes... the controls, inaccurate as hell (10 meter distance, trying a headshot with a handgun... no chance, after 10 rounds I gave up), not to mention regular crashes and a botched multiplayer (why the F do I need an Xbox controller for playing it on PC? And why does that bloody Windows Live window ALWAYS pop up when I want to play offline and singleplayer?) and a singleplayer campaign that's a) far too short and b) far too easy. _________________

I played a demo for "The Simpsons" game, and I have to say this game is horrible. Play control and enviromental rendering are atrocious. You can run next to a building, turn, and lose sight of everything because the building blocks your view.
PC games are suffering because the market is moving towards the consoles again; PC games are lazy ports done on a Friday afternoon.

Yup. I might buy a PS3 eventually tho. It's the only console I didn't buy since the Dreamcast. That and a NGage, but I'm grateful I didn't buy the "taco phone".

I guess it won't improve soon. Their sales were crap. Up to mid-december, they sold 86,633 crysis and UT3 33,995. While the top seller for November was COD4 for the 360 with more than 1.5 million.
Last gen, developers started to make games for the PS2 and ported them to xbox or GC. They used to improve PC games, at least. Now, most of them, develop for the 360 and port them to other consoles and PC. Since the coding between the PC and 360 is very similar, if you release it for DX9, they don't touch anything. Even had dirt for the PC. Every time you save, it says "please don't turn off your PC". _________________
