I almost agree with you, Toma is doing a well job, ....but i don't know, i must watch til the end.

As much as i don't want to admit it Hachikuro is not going to be the big hit of the season like Hana Yori Dango 2 last year, in fact the rating is dropping. I totally hope this won't damage Toma's career, he was just doing it well.... let's see ...let's wait.

I don't think we should worry about it affecting Toma's career; since this role was another challenge for him & for me he did live his character very well; he arrived to make different with all his previous roles.. I think the ratings are just based on the drama in general, perhaps manga adaptations are not on the trend anymore, I dunno ^^ (oh well I can see more adaptation this summer already :bleh: ) anyway, after this, Toma deserves a rest, well, sure, I'm not against if he has another plan attack for this summer (rivalize with his buddy in Johnny ,Pipi) hoho

i think episode 2 is much better than episode 1.

lucky i never watched the anime before. so, i have no 'prior expectation' for the drama.

anyway it really looks fine with me. i am enjoying it.

I haven't seen the anime either, but from what I've heard, it's not very good, so I'm not sure it would have ruined anything for you :mrgreen:

if anyone hasn't heard yet, SARS-fansubs subbed the first episode and are subbing the whole series in part with Love Song subs

no... it still looks fine with me so far... i am enjoying the first 2 episodes.
looking forward for more.... i am really not expecting too much out of it... i just want to watch a simple light-hearted love story.... so far so good....

maybe because i haven been following jdoramas for the past 5-6 years...

I just watched the first ep last night and I'll say it's not the best drama, but it's definitely watchable for a whole season. Toma plays his role well and I think I've taken a liking to Harada Natsuki (Yamada) too. I can't comment on how well it follows the manga since I haven't read it but the script seemed believable. The physical humor of Toma getting kicked and stuff didn't really seem to fit in at some points though... I think I will continue watch it for Toma. He is really putting it all into this role.

I do thnik Toma is doing it very well !! Yuta is like a combination of comedyy and drama... perfect for Toma.

I meant the drama in general... it's not the best of the season but i'll continue watching it. it just started, maybe i talked too soon... i'm sorry.

Because the dumb singapore tv media :bleh: decided to ride on the korean dramas wave then, and all the overseas TV time slots were taken up by korean dramas (which i totally dun like!), so I din have any opportunity to watch jdoramas... and switched to HK dramas then instead...
