I'm not sure why Ryo is kept in 2 groups, but I guess it must be Ryo's choice to stay with Kanjani8. He was pretty sad when he found out he was to debut with NEWS first.

WD, why they ware called Kanjani8? i thought it because of 8 people in the group but there were only 7 people..
Previously, there is 8 members in K8, one of them is Uchi Hiroki. Thats why they called Kanjani 8.
I can't answer the question very detail, why they called Kanjani 8. Wd will answer you on this. Actually, I also want to ask the same question to WD, how they got the name of Kanjani 8? They have Johnny's name ne~~different with other group in JE!
I remember this question when I watched Domoto Kyoudai, Koichi ask them the same question "How they got Johhny's name?" but before Yoko-chan can answer it directly, Tsuyo disturb him with some funny statement. and I can't got the answer until the end
