yeah, Chinese new year is 7thFeb

most of the time, during the first day of Chinese New Year, not much shops were open. because most of the people are celebrating xD and doing house visits~

no one really gorge on them now

things eaten are just snacks. like sweets, pineapple tarts and chocolates.

something like that. kinda like nabe? so the stove is still on when you eat. directly from the whatever you call it pot.

haven't had that for a while. it doesn't taste as good if you don't use beef broth

'Hotpot' ('huo guo' ��锅 in Chinese) is roughly equivalent to 'Nabe'.
'Steamboat' ('sha guo' 唰锅 in Chinese) is roughly equivalent to 'Shabu Shabu'.
