Actually, Step and Go is kinda catchy, and makes me think of SMAP's old songs. But I still think the single is just so-so too, and I don't really like Fuyu wo Dakishimete that much. _________________

No chance for Step and Go to get 500k there. The numbers are down pretty low.
I think it still has chances to break the 500k mark. In three days it already sold more than a half of it and sales tend to increase during the weekend~ _________________

maybe the cape nino was wearing in the pv was really a good-luck charm that's why it sold so much on its first day. even the rebel nino could carry such embarrassment for the sake of arashi.
some random thought, in A.RA.SHI they were still taking it "step by step" but now they are taking "step and go". never mind me, i'm just tired
Sorry to say but...I didn't like at all. This is the most ordinary PV of Arashi I've ever seen. What kind of dance and jumping here and there by all of them? and the grammar error, I've to agree with kisarazu about the grammatical error. And my eyes so tired to see Nino with that kind of hair and the cape-thing. Riida is good in purple *a little bit biased* but his dance didn't tempt me at all. The song is pretty good for me, even it didn't change the way of who Arashi is The others, nah...I can't say it all. Sho is the Sho..and I still like him Happiness PV.

My first impression is that the Step & Go PV looks so much like "Benetton" commercial... ... I like the song though but the PV kills it...

IMO it actually is a Johnny's factor. it's the thing with boybands when they release something, it's always more than a version, so girls tend to buy both. even if MatsuJun couldn't sing any better than William Hung, i bet poeple would still buy his CD.
and... when a song is average (or crappy) but the sales are high, wouldn't anyone wonder why people are buying (or still buying) the daymn CD? I mean, if it were me, for instance, let's say i've never listened to Arashi before and decided to buy their latest CD after looking at the sales chart and found that they were at the no1 spot, i would've been pissed and thought that i've just waisted approx.1,000yen.
so are you offended by Fye or are you just pissed because Fye made you realize that you just wasted 1,155yen ? (<- tax bla bla bla not included) . well, of course it's not a waste to you.

As I said, this release from Hikki is so-so at the best, nothing compared to last year's megahit FoL.
The biggest reason, though, why Hikki is doing so bad is that her management made a HUGE mistake by confirming the release of her album a little over a week ago.
The album is also titled "Heart Station" and it has the both tracks PLUS it's release date is in a few weeks.
So why buy both the quite expensive album and the single, when you get the single-songs on the album too?
I would kick the promo-management if I was involved. So maybe it's good that I'm not _________________

OMG !!... MY COPY OD STEP AND GO ARRIVED TODAY !!.... when i arrived from school and i saw the box i started screaming like crazy !!.... couldn't even open it from exitement !!... hahaha so funny !!... i couldn't buy limited edition so it's regular edition... anyway i already watched the making and the talk included in limited edition .... hehe...
here some... photos... since i don't have scanner... i should buy one... well any time soon maybe....

YES! SMAP was the first thing that came to mind when I heard it. I love the retro groove in the song. Well at first I didn't like Fuyu wo Dakishimete much but after listening to a clear version of it, it sounded quite cool. There's a gospel feel to it I can actually imagine it being sung with a jazzy piano and hand claps. Arashi perky pop vocal kinda drowned the gospel feel tho'.

Yes, Johnny's is all about the hype of 1st week sales but surpassing 100k mark on the 1st day is an impressive achievement even for a Johnny's.
That's why I'm offended by the discredit. Its ok for anyone to wonder why since thy think its crappy but for a person that claimed to love Arashi to be discrediting them... . You can kutuk all you want about the song guys but I drew the line on putting down Arashi very obvious achievement even if the song is rather crappy (60% of you guys claimed that, not moi).
On another note, this might be a new trend for JE sales tho'. I'm suspecting they did increased the LE prints.

How could a person who have never listened to Arashi before buy their album out of a whim? Oh, maybe you are referring to those who knew them through dramas.. but they usually sang the theme songs. And if say they were those fans who thought the song is damn crappy and are afraid they might not get into the charts because it has no tie-ins, bought the single, i don't think they would be pissed if it did get 100k sales on 1st day. And even if the song is crappy, Sho is still damn hot in the DVD, so money well spended . We are addressing fans that actually buy their merchandise here, not the fans who just prefer to download.
I decided to buy the single only after I've listened to a sample of S&G and only bought 1 copy of the LE at yesasia (technically not counted in the charts). This is my first cd purchase. I usually go for the DVD

Hmm, I don't think they struggled for 7 years. It seems like everybody has kinda forgotten how lucky Arashi were to actually have debuted in Hawaii, on a luxury yacht! And media frenzy were high for Arashi at that time, they were on the front page of every major papers! And ARASHI actually sold 500k in the first week (which actually broke KinKi Kids' Garasu no Shounen at that time before KAT-TUN broke Arashi's with Real Face), which is like higher than most debuted JE groups (which includes Kanjani8 who only had like only 150k or so for Naniwa Iroha Bushi, and of course a debut conference on a rooftop of their record label among so many unfair things, now that's what I call really struggling!). All in all, Arashi had been pretty lucky and the jimusho paid A LOT of attention to them.
The only thing is that they kinda went downhill after their 3rd or 4th single, and people thought they're kind of a past thing. However, HYD2, Nino in Hollywood movie and 2006-2007 brought them back to the top of JE. That's how I see it anyway. They didn't struggle for 7 years, but more like they struggled to GET BACK TO THE TOP and finally did it. _________________
