The director of Waterboys mentioned the audition as below:
�g I was hesitant to use Tama-chan, we called him so then, even though his swimming skill excelled others�f, since I thought he was too cool to be one of the five main roles. But, once I saw him in afro, I made up my mind to use him for Sato the afro guy. �h
"His look was shocking because I had never thought it would fit him. [lol] �h
"That big mole is a mark for the audience to tell Sato who changes out of recognition after he shaves his head.�h

kakkoi desu yo!! thankfully the director never made a mistake in choosing tamaki for Sato's role..i really enjoyed watching him as the afro guy!! tamaki did justice for that role..
LOL, now scenes of him as Sato is running through my mind ryt now.. _________________

The hair stylist is always the same with every photo, as far as I know. Who is clinging to the haircut, Tamaki-kun or the hair stylist? I don't know.

just posting these links on Tamaki's Straightforward Tour Concert last 2006..
i was only able to watch the part he performed Kibou Ni Umi in YT, luckily i managed to find the whole concert!!
