When I went I thought it was low at 1 to 105....but at 97 it's close to the all time low of 1 to 95 back in 1995.

Nuts. Yeah probably not the best time to travel abroad.

Haha.... 1000 Dollars worth of yen...that should hold you over for a while....a quick tip...when travelling for big ticket items or lodging expenses it's always best to use your credit card....why you ask? When you use your credit card you get the BANK'S rate on foreign exchange which is always better than the rate you can get at the money changing window which is always less favorable to travellers....and if you want to avoid the interest charges on your credit card...just pay it within the first 30 days of when it appears on your credit card statement.

Great. Thanks. Bow

I didn't know that. I thought they would charge more. I need to pay cash at the onsen. Go figure. Sweat That's why I was looking to get more money. I could always "buy" money with my credit card, at the airport.

I always fully pay my bills. I don't like spending more money than I have or owing people's money.
