Yes. During the 90s Rie Miyazawa had lots of commercial endorsement contracts so she was in lots of CMs (television commericials) and magazines....from what I understand she made lots of money during that time...more than enough money to be rich for the rest of her life.

Rie Miyazawa plays "lover" in Ken Hirai's new PV
Tue, April 22, 2008
Singer Ken Hirai and actress Rie Miyazawa are portraying the role of lovers in Hirai's new PV "Itsuka Hanareru Hi ga Kite mo." Not only is this Miyazawa's first appearance in a PV, but it is also the first time Hirai has paired up with someone of celebrity status.
The video includes scenes of the two holding hands, sleeping together on the couch, and holding each other closely as the rain falls. It was filmed earlier this month.
This is Hirai's 29th single to date and will go on sale April 23. The song is also part of Hirai's "FAKIN' POP" album which has already shipped more than 500,000 copies since its release. In addition, the single is being used as the theme song to the movie "Ano Sora wo Oboeteru," which premieres April 26.
Rie Miyazawa has a daughter
Sat, May 23, 2009 (4:24pm EDT)
Actress Rie Miyazawa (36) became a mother on Wednesday. She gave birth to a daughter at a hospital in Tokyo.
When Miyazawa announced her engagement in February, she was already six months pregnant. Because her husband lives in Hawaii and frequently travels between there and Japan, it was speculated that Miyazawa would end up giving birth in Hawaii.
The couple officially registered their marriage in April and held their wedding ceremony in Aoyama, Tokyo, around the same time. Miyazawa has already said that she plans to continue her acting career.
