Just watched the 4th episode again.. what a fantastic episode. I don't know if it'll maintain the post, but I think it may be one of the top episodes in the series. It does so much and comes together so well. By far the best one up to that point, in my opinion.
And you get the little park-bench scene at the end where Nodame gets a little treat (and probably Chiaki too.. but he's too proud to admit it!) _________________

From Episode 4 and after, the drama is in full stride...
Episodes 2 and 3 were the weakest, focusing on the Masumi, Mine, and Sakura stories for the most part...

I watched the first episode of Nodame Cantabile again, and I found it more enjoyable this time around. While the intro still bugs me, the episode does pick up from there and becomes pretty enjoyable. I have to say, the shots of Prague in the beginning are very nice. Chiaki and Nodame's meeting with him waking up at her place was great. I like how the night before when Chiaki's on the ground and asks for help. You'd think someone lying down on the floor asking for help might be in some kind of trouble, but what does Nodame do? Offer a bag of candy. Either people lying right outside their places is normal or offering candy to people asking for help is the norm

You have to bear in mind that Nodame's mind is probably filled with nothing but food, especially other people's bento...

Now I don't normally do the third party compilation videos from a series.. but I really liked this one about the Nodame Specials... warning big spoilers within:

Nice.
But having classical music as the narration would've been more appropo, IMO.
EDIT: Same goes for the other video as well.
Oh, I agree.. I don't really care for those pop backgrounds.. but what can I do about it ;-) People are pretty unlikely to post such a video with classical accompaniment on YouTube.. it's just not the crowd <sheds a tear>
I muted it and played Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor instead... not really, but not a bad idea _________________

I'd suppose it'd be more suitable for an American show or maybe any other J-drama, but not this one, which is totally immersed in classical music...
It's out of step.
