Okay.. so I finished the subbed version of the first episode that BMW shared with me. I have to say.. there were a few things I hadn't picked up watching it before, but it generally fell in line with my initial impressions. My initial discussion of acting and directing follow true. I will concede it's a first episode and I think the show could improve a lot in subsequent episodes now that the basics have been introduced.

Hmm, that's an interesting observation.

Yeah, the subs didn't add that much more to what I observed from the previous non-subbed viewing, aside from some of the background narrative from each of the characters.

I remember how often we saw Juri being buddy-buddy with Asami during Nodame. Has Juri replaced her with Masami this time around?! Sweat

But they already did Waratte Iitomo earlier... Juri-chan was wearing a white shirt and black vest (notice how I remember those things about her...? Beaten )

I haven't seen the Honey and Clover drama in its entirety, but really, that's the guy who played Yamada's father? The anime version was this big hulking dude, and the guy in the picture just doesn't look like a guy who could give Mayama a beating Sweat

It's the tragic thing about that show.. so many of the actors chosen for the characters are fantastic (Takemoto , Morita, Ramada-Sempai (? - he isn't in the anime but is a totally hilarious character in the drama).. but the directing is absolutely horrible. It might be the slowest most belabored watching I have ever done. Full review to follow my watching of the last two eps.

I've yet to watch the first episode with subs, so I don't know exactly what was going on but if what I think went down is correct then all I have to say is, Juri-chan needs to pay for the umbrella Sweat

You know I posted my edited subs for download on the previous page, ne?

I thought the umbrellas were for public use... On the Honor System. Smile
