It was particularly 'close to home' for me, as I attended h@ back in my high school days in Hong Kong.

hehe Just got to say, great story, BEST lead actor in the form of Juri Ueno Naughty

So that means Juri-chan can be both best lead actor and lead actress.
very soon, she can just support a whole show on her own, acting both leads...

Ah nice to hear from THTL again.

Well, as mentioned I haven't opened my Swing Girls Premium Limited Edition DVD boxset. It's still sitting in my cupboard. Guess I should put it in a safe box and throw away the key lol....

Speaking of GT3.... have you seen the (first test) in the new Motor Trend about the new GT2... it may be the coolest car ever.

0-60: 3.4 sec
Quarter Mile: 11.4 sec
60-0: 98 feet (only one better is the Audi R8 with 96 ft)
Lateral Accel: 1.10g (holy shit!!!)

And they say it's absolutely wonderful to drive - competent and well-manner when it needs to be. Now if I could only come up with the $199k...

I just found out there's an emote just for me:

Tolerance

The only problem is that the difference in size between my eyes is far greater.

It was fun & cute movie. I can't say I can take it real seriously as a musical piece - having played in jazz ensembles for like 8 years (I've played lead trombone in just about all those pieces they played), I can't help but listen too closely ;-) The practice cycle (beginning to performing) was positively silly - some of those instrumental parts would take even extremely talented beginners at least a year to be able to perform at the level they did.. but whatever! I don't mind a little artistic license. I do wonder if most people think people who play instrument can do it like that though... Always reminds me how much I miss playing music.

As a movie, it was fun. It really was like an anime - lots of caricatures. I think the best thing about it were the individual shots. Some of the shots in that movie were soo funny. And some clever jokes in there too.

I think it was more effective as a series of anecdotes over a cohesive whole. I could go into the overuse of stereotypes and cliches... but I accept it as cute, campy movie and in that, it does well.

I really loved the percussionist girl. She was definitely fun. The little mouse puppet was awful cute too.

And what can I say.. in the end, I'm a big Juri fan - she was totally adorable. She has some amazing mannerisms, doesn't she?
Okay.. I think she's earned a silly emote tonight: Smitten

Notice I dole those out like j-dramas dole out "I like/love you"s Smile
