Geez, seri is a translating machine! Suketeru and Seri should just work together. Don't see a point in having multiple versions other than suketeru's .ass format. Then they have someone else who isn't yourself editing the subs and we all know how it's easy to miss things when you've been looking at it for hours. But I guess they both want to take on the translation work for their own benefits as well. Oh well, all the power to them

Just finished watching the third episode. Okay, here's how it goes,,

Is it me, or is Sousuke like an on - off turning devil? I'm starting to think he's got some serious problems! What's really bothering me is that Michiru isn't doing anything about it and those Sousuke violence scenes are really disturbing >_>, if it were me I'd just leave him right away after that major physical abuse! Trust me, that's not "Love" as Michiru calls it.
Ruka's being great with the acting, I'm loving her strong character. I can also sense some tragedy coming up with her in the following episodes. Yet, What I'm really hoping for is a satisfying ending.
You ain't kidding... Not sure about the accuracy of the translations, but why can't the other subbing groups crank it out at this speed?

Not to mention the hardsubs from that other group... They should just give it up and work on another project.

I barely skimmed through Episode 3 without subtitles, but I think I figured it out. That death that keeps being alluded to in the beginning? Ruka runs over Sousuke with her bike. Yep. Uh huh. So obvious I didn't even bother with the spoiler tag
Ok, lame jokes aside, it's nice to see subtitles out so quickly. At this point I'll take Suketeru's subs since that .ass subtitle format comes off looking pretty nice, but since Seri's is already out, I'll get that for the time being. I'll get to watching Ep. 3 once I get done with the Nodame DVD that showed up in the mail today
Heh, kinda unoriginal reason for beating Michiru up; his dad used to abuse his mom but then again you'd need a lot of imagination for making up some other reason
But seriously Sousuke is such a psycho...
I think you're attributing it to the wrong person.

it was michiru's father whom they were discussing
This drama is becoming a lot like the movie 'Crash'. Nice concept about human drama/stereotypes and such but the execution is somewhat lacking.
I have a hard time believing masami's character for the most part and for some reason I don't think juri is that good of a match for ruka, even though she's a good actor. I don't get why everyone seems to be falling head over heels for her.

Actually, it is because Juri is the best actor in this bunch. She is the most believable. Of course, it isn't perfect, but it is the least cliche than the others. Besides, who wouldn't like someone who plays a girl that belong to the order of the lily =)

I figured out why Takeru has the sex phobia. I think he was molested as a boy. Probably by a close female relative.

Seeing this JDorama, Juri is still the best actor out of 5, out of curiousity, if not her who would you like to see in Ruka's role?

Julia Roberts maybe?
I actually am not sure I agree with Juri being the best. I'm really becoming a fan of Eita and Asami. I was pretty rough on Asami for the first episode, but I find myself really curious about her in the third (I'm going to watch it tonight now that Seri's subs are out). I think Eita had a great second episode.
Masumi, though, I find is a let down.. she's so cute though!
It's funny.. I still think many of them are better in the intro sequence than they are in the show so far... I kinda wonder if it was the same person who directed the intro as it was doing the show. _________________

Though I'm biased with regards to the actors involved, I have to agree that Eita had done a decent job, there are some subtle layers to his acting after watching this a few times. I do not think Asami's role will get much more attention (of course I hope to be wrong).
Basically given up on Masumi, Michiru is this dumb girl what can she do, limited by the role, again I am hoping to see more from her. Still the JUICIEST role has got to be Ruka, I really do not see any weak performances so far from how Juri had played it, I don't want to get into it scene by scene, remember she is playing someone who, up to now, has internalised all her feelings and torments, so up to EP3 I still see her as the best of the lot.

Fair enough.. yeah, I've pretty much given up on Michiru - so boring. Ruka would know what direction to turn if I was there to 'set her straight' ;-) But then.. there are some things a girl just knows how to do... actually I specific examples but they're not very family friendly.
I mean, in the end, I probably agree with you about Ruka.. I just really wanna see something more going on. I'm also afraid you're right about Asami's character. _________________

*Charlton Heston (RIP) imitation*
or as Space Ghost would refer to him: Cheston.
Space Ghost: Oh, oh oh, wait wait wait, how about Cheston? See, it's a cross between your first name, which is Charlton, and your second name...
Charlton Heston: Um, no. I don't think so.
Space Ghost: (pause) Never say "no, I don't think so". Try saying "yes, I think so".
Charlton Heston: Oh, I see.
Space Ghost: The word "impossible" is a mistake, Chuck. It's really "I'm possible". (smile sparkles) _________________

In episode three you'll get the answer, even though it's mentioned only briefly. With subs it's probably clear to everyone.
