I was reading a travel magazine earlier and they had a chart illustrating the cost of certain things throughout Europe.

Well... the first time we had to call them 3 times before they came to fix it, that was the first day so it wasn't a very good first impression. Anyway, we decided to figure the toilet out ourselves as we didn't want to have to call them 3 times every time we had to go to the toilet. Eventually we discovered the trick and managed to fix it ourselves...everytime... I am otherwise pleased with the hotel.. hehe

Yea, other than the toilet situation, I didn't mind the hotel either. It was situated in a good location as well.

I'm planning to go to the USA, anyone living there know how much a typical motel room costs? I'm planning on travelling around the country, so information about any part is useful!

Hi adylma!Wave

Do you know what cities you are planning on visiting in the USA? Motels could have a wide range of prices depending on their location and the time of year. I hope you have fun on your USA vacation! w00t! Thumbsup

Thank you Big Grin I'm sure I will.
Like I said, I'm planning a trip around the country, going from coast to coast, and some more, so I'm hoping to cover many big cities. Definite stops in: Washington DC, New York City, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Mount Rushmore, Las Vegas, San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Grand Canyon, Miami and probably many more along the way. Basically, I'm looking for information about any city where Amtrak operated trains stop. Smile

Wow that is a lot of cities! Good for you! I haven't stayed in motels so I don't know of any personally but you can go to Amtrak.com to see what cities they go to. Click on Routes and then Browse by Region. For the motels info I found a site called sidestep.com where you type in the city name and your motel/hotel info (i.e check in/out date, #of people) and it will find the best prices for you. Hope that helps. Victory! Peace!

Yes you certainly do deserve a nice long vacation after studying so hard. w00t! I live on Long Island, NY. Since I noticed that you did not put your location in your profile I will ask this as a general question....What part of the world are you in right now? If you don't feel like being specific about your country you could always just tell us the continent or general area. Mr Green

I am sure that there are other ppl here who could help you with some info on some of the cities that you are interested in visiting in the USA. Aren't there? Yes! Big Grin

And there are some good travel books full of valuable information, also for the little budget traveller - Lonely Planet comes to mind. Victory! Peace!

That's a lot of cities covering all parts of the country. In terms of Amtrak, check out the Interactive Route Atlas at www.amtrak.com . I've heard the Pacific Coast line between California and Seattle is really nice.

Hi everyone! Thank you for all your help, and sorry for the late reply. I find myself rather busy revising lately as it's almost exam times! I'm living in the UK, not really in London, but quite close so travelling to the USA will not be too much of a problem hopefully Smile As for guidebooks, I have bought lonely planet's and will start reading it as soon as my exams are over Big Grin

If he feels that way, what the hell is he and the others doing in England?

I'm sure they'll be more than accommodating to his wishes where he came from.

Dumbass. Shake Head

Therein lies the hypocrisy.

Just go to Wal-Mart or Target... They're just Handi-Wipes.
