I finished Lunch Queen. It was really fun to watch but I thought the last couple eps dragged way too much. Also maybe especially the last episode since I had to leave for school but wanted to finish it so I was impatient. I was getting bored of all the love triangles and everyone loving Natsumi. Just get over it. But damn, the food looked good. So hungry....

I watched the One Liter of Tears movie and it just made me appreciate the drama more. So boring and not much character development since it's so short.

There's a movie?!

On Topic: Watching Attention Please SP. I'd forgotten how immensely annoying Aya is in this role...

Boy, I had a string a pretty good luck going with the dramas I was watching... so naturally I've hit a soft patch.

I am... was... maybe I'll try to finish... two dramas right now.

Rookie (2001)
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Rookie_%28Fuji_TV%29

Hanamura Daisuke (2000)
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Hanamura_Daisuke

I picked up "Rookie" simply because Uchiyama Rina was in it and she is a peach. But this show isn't.

If you enjoyed the Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho series this might be something you'd like. But I'm just not in the demographic.

"Hanamura Daisuke" is a "comedy" about a third rate Lawyer working in a first rate law firm.

The old rule for comedy is: The weaker the script, the prettier the girl.

Along with Yusuke Santamaria (the comedy portion of our program) the producers were wise enough to cast Mizuno Miki as the firm's secratary.

Then they must have looked at the final scripts and decided she needed help. So week after week the clients are simply a parade'o'babes.

Unfortunately the copy I have is a rip from an old video tape, and whoever ripped it didn't know how to bypass the old video dubbing protections. So every now and then the screen goes almost to black.

Not good when the main reason to watch the show is to see the pretty girls.

Watched the 4th episode of Ashita no Kita Yoshio last night and started on the 5th episode. This one's a little weird and I'm wondering where it's going. As for the cast--that Shinobu girl is annoying, the Matsuda guy is dorky but kinda cute, and Namase Katsuhisa & his orange-haired buddy are hilarious.

The fifth episode? Crap, I can't remember what it's about.

I finally finished Saito-san today. Such a cheesy show. I guess the message was good but it all felt so fake and contrived. It did have some good parts. Not totally bad... Just too cheesy.

I finished watching the Attention Please SP, which was a complete waste of time and I'm positive they'll make another, which will also prolly be a complete waste of time.

So now I'm on to Galileo. I'll leave the GTO SP and the IWGP SP for later.

Actually, on second though, mebbe I'll watch the GTO SP. I need my fix.

Awww really? Well, I haven't seen Takashi-kun recently in anything, so I'll watch it just for him.

It is great if you compare it to the movie.

Look up the phrase, "Going thru the motions to rip people off for a fast buck" and you'll see a poster for the GTO movie.

I enjoyed the GTO SP more than the Attention Please SP. Did the movie come out AFTER the SP, because it didn't end thoroughly.

IIRC, the movie came out after and has Sorimachi up in Hokkaido and there isn't anybody else from the drama or the SP in the movie.

I really liked the movie.. but was really sad not to see his lovely lady. Oh well, at least he ended up with her in real life... and from what I understand about their having a child, maybe he never got to use that second condom ;-)

Yes, but you really don't need to watch it because it will NOT satisfy you or give it a more proper ending. So pointless.

I didn't notice your question before, but yes there is a One Liter of Tears movie but it doesn't really have much character development or anything in it since it's a more limited amount of time. The series was much better.

Sidenote... the actress who played Aya in the movie is the same one who played Aya's roommate in the special needs school in the drama...her name is Yoshimi Ashikawa...
