I really liked the movie.. but was really sad not to see his lovely lady. Oh well, at least he ended up with her in real life... and from what I understand about their having a child, maybe he never got to use that second condom ;-)

Yeah, Nanako-chan was one of the reasons I enjoyed the series Smile I must watch the movie one day...

OT: I watched the first 15 minutes of Atsuhime last night (thanks Ralph!) - so many guys with similar haircuts Nut i was getting confused about who was who.

That's what I said after the first episode. That they all look alike. Doh!

But when you reach episode 3 all of a sudden they become indviduals that you reccognize. At first they seem to want to throw every character at you. Later, only a few actually form the nucleus of the story.

Yes, but you really don't need to watch it because it will NOT satisfy you or give it a more proper ending. So pointless.

I didn't notice your question before, but yes there is a One Liter of Tears movie but it doesn't really have much character development or anything in it since it's a more limited amount of time. The series was much better.

Is this movie the Special? I know there's a Special out there, but I wasn't aware that it was subbed.

Sidenote... the actress who played Aya in the movie is the same one who played Aya's roommate in the special needs school in the drama...her name is Yoshimi Ashikawa...

Ahhhhhh so there is an actual movie. Hmmm... mebbe I should try and find it.

The first 2 or 3 episodes are difficult, but like Ralph said, once you slog your way thru those it starts to get better. Ganbarre yo!

The One Liter of Tears special was just flashbacks with a little bit of story of after Aya's death. But I really hate flashback specials.

Just as I had hoped, the Spring Season has not failed to impress. Watching Zettai Kareshi, Rookies, Last Friends, and will be starting Gokusen 3 soon. All three that I've seen so far are entertaining in their own different ways...and then I gotta buckle down and prepare for the onslaught of Gokusen 3 just so I can get the T-Shirt! hehe

I'm watching Last Friends. I'm starting rookies, and I haven't yet found the time to watch Zettai Kareshi. Anyone know if Zettai Kareshi is the type of drama a guy would enjoy? Also, would anyone recommend Osen?

Go for Odoru. That one had a subtle humor that was classic. Victory! Peace! Last Christmas was kinda cookie-cutter, imo.

Ugh.. I'm downloading Koi ni Ochitara now - at 8k/sec ;-) I guess I'll have it in a week... or 3.

Finished the first two episodes of Galileo. I dunno how many people have seen this drama, but it reminds me heavily of Trick...

Kou-chan is absolutely kawaii and I realized by the second episode and I'm very attracted to Fukuyama Masaharu. Yum-me.

So far, not comments on the plot yet. Except that it's very Trick-ish.
