How about Last Friends?

Love to hear your take on this much-discussed (and maybe ground-breaking) drama... Victory! Peace!

My sister has been watching some of the episodes as we download. Mebbe I should...

I mean, I do make it a rule not to watch a drama until I have the entire thing (because when I get hooked it kills me to wait for the next epi to come out) but I think I'll make an exception here.

I'll watch it as I watch Medaka. Victory! Peace!

I gotcha.

Maybe you should hold off then: this series might get you foaming at the mouth. Sweat

Too late, I've already started the first episode! Sweat But no worries, after the fourth episode I'll distract myself with Medaka. Smile

On Topic: Last Friends, epi 1.

OMG B-SAN!!! What a powerful first episode. They better not screw this drama over because it's setup as a success.

That's what I liked about Medaka, it was just the opposite, the first couple episodes were just o.k., and then the next thing I know they've got me hooked. Those are my favorite kind of dramas Applaud

Ienaki ko 1

Lucky someone shared. Adachi Yumi was great in the role, the script is ... incisive, the plot ... rather shocking. There is a lack of interesting characters though at the moment, apart from the main character played by Adachi Yumi.

I've been watching "Otona no Otoko" (Three Grown Men) for the last couple of days.

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.309.htm

It's an oddly... flat series. "Odd" because this one stars Koji Yakusho, probably the best leading man in today's Japanese movies. And the other two "Grown Men" are Masahiko Nishimura and Yasunori Danta. Two guys who are in almost everything, and almost always do a great job.

But 4 episodes in and I really don't have much to grab onto here.

In supporting roles Maiko Kikuchi & Kimiko Yo are (so far) the only reason to watch the show. Both have created original, interesting, funny, and sort of edgy characters.

But there's just nothing compelling about either the story or the main characters.

I'll stick with it because I know how talented the three main actors are. But so far... this is just kind of boring.
