Ah, I see, and I wholeheartedly agree
Well, there are six more episodes to go, so there's still hope!

I'm worried for the kid on the playground. Kid, that's the pastry of death...or at least the pastry of gloom and awkward running motions while chasing a taxi. Sure, it starts out innocently enough, Sousuke offers lonely kid a bite. Eventually the kid will latch on, along with other kids Sousuke has met through work, and before you know it there will be an army of child welfare workers with a knack for abusing their girlfriends. The cycle will never end.
On a serious note, it looks like we're already seeing attempts to get sympathy for Sousuke. Yeah, he's nice to kids and all, but doesn't justify his abusive and controlling nature one bit.

Yuck. Trying to humanize that nutjob is yet another cheap plot move... The writers need to explain his weirdness, not get viewers to sympathize with it.

Yup.Like bmwracer and deseipher said, the pacing of this drama is getting a little slow.If this were to continue, this drama will either provide us with a disappointing and unsatisfactory ending or it'll rush things through the last few episodes with a lot of things left unanswered. This will definitely destroy the good start the writers came up with.I really don't wish for that to happen. I'll still keep my hopes up for the rest of the episodes and pray for the best.Hopefully, things will pick up. _________________

I do agree. This may be bias, because I can consider myself a fan of Nishikido Ryou, but I do want to see a development on Sousuke's character. It is just not good enough to just tell us that he comes from a broken family. Not everyone with a bad family turns out to be a DV guy.If that's what they meant then it would be a serious case of stereotyping or that they're just trying to brush things aside-'he's just like that so accept it.' I don't even mind if he doesn't change his ways, just give us a reason for his behaviour.I am usually a fan of villians, but definitely not boring ones.

Yeah, I'm with you on that...
If they don't resolve some things or continue to throw the viewers scraps, the wheels are gonna come off this thing really fast.
Alrighty, read up to page 54, where peeps start talking about episode 5.
I've just finished episode 4, and five isn't available yet.

It's only four episodes in, but I'm unequivocally tired of the love/hate/S&M relationship between Michiru and Sosuke... Just kill each other so we can focus on the other more interesting characters.
Ruka seems to be the only "man" in the group, willing to stand up to that loon Sosuke... I hope she's the one who kills this nutjob... In the cruelest, most unusual fashion possible.
It's funny how you say that Ruka is the only "man" in the group, and she is, regarding Sousuke.

But in this episode we also see for the first time just how frail she can be. I'm talking about the situation where she's kissed by her coach. Her reaction is very feminine and this brings about new complications for her. It was a nice advancement.

So far, Sosuke has no redeeming values aside from the job with child services or whatever... And since they've barely even touched on that, he might be lousy at his job for all we know...

Well, they did go into his past a little bit, which provides a weak excuse for his behaviour, but he's still only one-dimensional and I'm getting tired of his pathetic tactics.

I don't think you can actually rape someone and not be aware that you're hurting them. After I saw that in the preview, if indeed it does happen all the way, I'm throwing all "He's conflicted" garbage out the window.
Good. I'm totally with you on this one.
Ya know, unlike most of you, I found episode 4 a little boring. I think the plot was there and the character development was more fleshed out, but the overall impact was lacking. I wasn't "thrilled" as I was with the previous episodes.
Also, Eri is becoming more useless. I mean, before I thought she was great as a comic relief, but now that other guy is stealing her thunder. I really hope the writers are just waiting until they can flesh her out more, but right now I see no purpose to her whatsoever. _________________

I think one thing the drama could do to 'save' itself would be to create sympathy and character growth in Sousuke and make him the good guy or at least the interesting guy. I don't know if they could pull it off in such a short time.. but if you think about any villian, the best ones are always approachable - you have to at least understand something about why they are the way they are.
I remember how cool it was to suddenly read something from the most horrible character's perspective in Feast for Crows and eventually have to contend that maybe she wasn't totally evil and inhuman, but acting on the information she thought she had.
I don't suspect they would or could do it, but it would be amazing to see the story artfully turn around to support Sousuke in a way that the audience could accept. _________________

Sure it is... You just need to hardsub it.

Yup, her and Ogurin are just fluffy diversions from the main story... Which is sorta running out of steam.
I have no problems downloading the soft subbed version. I mean, almost all the dramas I own are softsubbed. But my sister started downloading the hardsubbed version so I'm sticking to that.

Yeah, but doesn't it have Windows emulation?
Our VP has a MacBook and is doing that.....
Yup, you can get Virtual Machines to run Windows OS on a Mac.
I don't really see a point for my personal usage tho, considering I've already installed on the Microsoft Applications on my mac and I convert things on my bro's PC. I would consider it for PC games, tho, but I've got an Xbox that hogs all my time anyways.
On Topic: If the subs for the hardsub version were terrible, I prolly woulda started downloading the raws. But I'll be patient... _________________
