the beauty of Japanese dramas is that they are of fixed length

Excellent point. It does make them more effective.

I was reading through an interview of a manga artist earlier today, and he said that restrictions seem to show more creativity, as opposed to having someone be free to do whatever he/she wants. The relatively short lengths dramas have in Japan essentially force the writers to make sure that they can deliver whatever the audience wants within the chosen timeframe, otherwise it's a lost cause. It seems so characteristic of Japanese behavior in general.

When it works, it's a beautiful thing. When it doesn't, well, you change the channel and watch something else.

And to get back on topic, I'm all for Eri owning the next episode. It's about time. Thumbsup

Too many tie-ins and you lose that - it becomes like a kids show or Disney movie, where it's all about selling the lunch box and accompanying video game.

Well, they already are selling the mugs and everything, not like they couldn't whore out the show any more by doing that.

I'd love to see what kind of game it'd be though...I have this feeling it's just going to be some sort of rip-off from Capcom that skins over Resident Evil: Nemesis, replacing the main tank villain with Sousuke (don't stand up to him, else he'll flay you in one shot! hehe )

I mean, I'm all for the further, deeper examination of Ruka's gender identity issues, but I would flat out lying if I said I expected they'd actually tackle anything meaningful in such an add on.

Ueno Juri to reprise role of Ruka in spinoff show 'Jitensha Josei' in Spring 2009.

Synopsis: Jitensha Josei tackles issues that afflicts the current generation that we didn't cover in Last Friends. In this direct spin-off of the surprise hit of the Spring, Ruka (Ueno Juri) has become fed up with not being ablt to directly tell her feelings to Michiru (Nagasawa Masami), so she turns to the one thing that everyone in Japan turns to for advise: anonymous forums full of stereotypes and cookie-cutter models of society!

15. Cold Brain
16. Friendship
17. Drop Motion
18. Secret Poets
19. Brand New Season
20. Red Strings

lol the pwnage continued on in d-addicts as well rofl It's funny how some people can pick up on these things and others can't. And some can't even when others have posted about it identifying its obvious falseness! I guess those are the same people who ask a question that has been answered in the previous post Sweat

Some people are just really gullible: they believe everything they read without even a thought about double checking the facts. Sweat

I believe everything on the Internet. I even cite Wikipedia as a source. Sweat

Noticed a few posts above for the song listing of the soundtrack. I'm kind of eager to get the instrumental version of Prisoner of Love. Aside from the song itself, there really hasn't been any music pieces that have stood out during the show. Hopefully there will be a few gems in the OST Victory! Peace!

Is there any other music besides Prisoner of Love?

Talk about a lack of diversity.

Far as songs go, then yes, there's a lack of diversity, but as far as just background music goes there really hasn't been any that stands out. That'd make me weary of buying the soundtrack, as the only one that I have any interest in would be the Prisoner of Love instrumental track. As it is, I don't think what I've heard throughout the episodes can really stand on their own.

I'd refrain from buying the soundtrack... It'll show up on the 'net eventually. Beaten
