Holy jeebers she looks amazing Matsuyama Kenichi should look more happy. Seriously, he's acting like Matsuda Shota next to Maki when they were doing the Atsu Hime press con.
Thanks for the pics Meoinkie! I guess I can pick up my jaw now

You Maki lovers should watch her in Always Zoku san-chome no yuhi....I saw it the other day and it was fun to see her again as the character that won her the Best Newcomer Award @ the Japanese Academy Awards. She's part of an excellent cast that really shines throughout the whole move.

Yepp.. my fav film was Always 1, but now that I saw the 2nd one, I love them both. It makes you want to live in the 3rd street and Maki did a great job on her character. So cute and lovable. And there is a charm in every character. It's a must see. _________________

Yes, she is great in both films. The movie is both heartwarming and funny. I agree, the films definitely should be on anybody's list of movies to see. I, too, agree that all the characters bring something enjoyable to the film. It's rare to see a movie were the entire cast really stands out as opposed to just one or two people.

Yeah, it would be hard to chose one character that is less likable. And Mutsuko's dialect is just adorable _________________

edit: Just found out it's for her 2009 calendar. She went during Golden Week.

so will she ever grow here hair a bit longer. haha
edit: btw any new dramas with her?
At this point, it's not looking like it. Maybe if a role requires it but there really isn't anything going on acting for her besides Atsu-Hime. Who knows when will happen too. I didn't even see her mentioned in some recent drama rumors either!

She worked really hard in the past few years. I can imagine her, running from filmings to filmings. Now she can finally rest a bit... _________________
