Just finished Tokyo Love Story. Hated it so much, I had to write a review. What's up with the spineless lead characters and their indecisiveness? Urgh. And it confirms my distaste for Oda Yuji. bleh

Next up, Koi Ni Ochitara and IWGP.

Koi ni Ochitara is a good show... SMAP guy surprised me with his performance. Victory! Peace!

To a point, I agree with you about "Tokyo Love Story". I found most of the characters annoying, and the plot points frustrating. But the ending was the final straw. It just ticked me off.

Popular as it was (and boy was it popular) the whole show left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fortunately for me I'd seen Suzuki and Oda in other shows that I'd really liked before I saw "TLS". So that one show didn't have much of an affect on how I felt about them.

Oh, and I agree with Beemer. "Koi ni Ochitara" was a fun show.

If not liking a show that other people say is terrific makes you an Ugly Duckling then I'm gonna have to lock myself in the basement and turn off all the lights.

Just finished Omiai Kekkon. Old school nostagia. Funny romantic comedy about 3 women and 3 men. Matsu Takako really brings a lot of laughs here as well as her female sidekicks and male counterparts. A solid example of what dramas used to often be.

I really enjoyed that one too. This was one of my first Matsu Takako dramas and it made me a fan of hers, especially as a singer. The supporting cast were great, but my favorite is Imai Masayuki, although Kubozuka is a close second. Mr Green

I feel you on the Oda Yuji dislike. The only drama I liked him in was Odoru Daisousasen. Everything else either sucked or he did. U Suck

This was my first Suzuki drama (I think) and she really annoyed me in it, but after watching Kono Yo no Hate, I realized what a wonderful actress she is.

re: Suzuki. I haven't watched "Kono Yo no Hate" yet. Seems a bit depressing.

But if you like Suzuki be sure to watch "New no Onna" and "Souri to Yobane de". It'll give you an idea of just how broad a really good actress's range is.

I really liked him in Odoru... I generally liked him in Last Christmas too, even if the drama wasn't my favorite overall.

Kono Yo no Hate was THE most depressing Jdramas I've ever seen. I was depressed for several days after watching it. But at the same time, I really enjoyed it.

I have News no Onna (have to convert them to DVD), but not Souri to Yobanaide. I'm going to try getting that series in another trade. Thanks for the rec. Smile

Oh. I forgot that I kind of liked him in Last Christmas too. I guess I forgot about that one since it wasn't that memorable to me.
