Can't be as bad as the copy of Pure that I have. My unofficial description of it is "recorded on VHS from a TV with horrible antenna reception deep in the boonies" and if I had to rate it on a scale, it'd probably be an F. Sweat

That's bad. This copy was static-filled but you could still easily read the subs and at least there wasn't too much extemporaneous noise.

One baffling thing about Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai is that when you read the description of this drama on this board and on the drama wiki is that the synopsis seems to be totally wrong. In fact the description for Kamisan no waruguchi 2 seems to be the description for Nanka Kowankunai....my question then is are these two dramas related in some way? If anybody could shed some light on this, please fire away.

I hadn't heard of Kamisan no Waruguchi until you mentioned it, so I looked it up in the Dorama Encyclopedia. Not only are the three leads the same in both series, but the scriptwriter (Seita Yamamoto) is the same. The Encyclopedia describes Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai as recycling the same actors and situations originally presented in Kamisan no Waruguchi; only the names of the characters have been changed.

Interesting. Most of the guys don't seem to like this drama, but you and I seem to like it more than dislike it. Well, I've only seen up to episode 9, so I'm unsure what my full opinion is.

I think you will like it. I did. There was good closure at the end, without it being resolute.

There are some things that really irked me (mainly the writing), but I'll vent about those in my review. hehe

On Topic: Last Friends SP.

I've just started "Muri na Renai"

And no matter how the main plot line goes... I think I'm gonna have a great time just watching Natsukawa Yui & Suzuki Sawa work together. They play old friends who are, in their late 30s, still very unsuccessful actresses. Taking whatever jobs they can find... and in the case of Yui, still working part time in a family restaurant.

You wanna see two ladies who are as good as anyone from any era?

I've watched several episodes of this series so far.

Given the current state of dorama, isn't it refreshing to see a couple of actresses who are real pros.

They're the only reason why I'll continue to watch this series.

LOL! Nono, I find myself agreeing with you on a lot of points. I may just have a different perspective, tho. Hmmm... kinda hard to explain.

Okay thanks for the feedback, shin. I was wondering about the three series because they seem virtually identical!

Yes it does have English subs...it was recorded off local Los Angeles television, so it's hardsubbed...the copy is a vhs to dvd transfer but the original source material is quite degraded...so the picture is about "C "quality.

oic, wonder if its any worse than beach boys - that was probably the worst quality i've seen so far

finished first 8 eps of kinpachi sensei 7 - dunno why, but somehow its touching and interesting in its own way unlike those other high school dramas despite its similarities between seasons, off to ep 9!

My opinion on Last Friends is also still overall positive. I've also only seen to ep 9 though. I do feel that there was too much focus on Sousuke and Michiru when the other characters were far more interesting.

Topic- Watching Churasan! These episodes go by so fast! I think I've seen through disc 9 this past week. I still have to finish Aishiteiru to Itte Kure though. And I started another Taiwanese drama, Silence, but only watched one ep.

This season saw Maou ep 1. The main characters look about ten years younger than there Korean counterparts but it was still pretty good. I even liked the theme song when I usually think Arashi sucks balls.

hehe The main guy (Ohno, playing the lawyer) is actually 27 going on 28 this year. The Korean guy was 26 when he played that part... i think.
