'Finished' Ryokiteki na Kanojo. I put finished in quotes because I skipped 3 episodes and jumped straight to the final episodes, and even then had to keep my finger on the fast-forward button. I had given up watching dramas in the past, usually after the first episode. I endured this particular drama for 7 episodes in the hope that it will live up, somehow, the the Korean movie "My Sassy Girl" on which it was based. After 7 episodes I decided enough is enough and jumped right to the last episode just to find out what the ending was like. As I said I had to fast-forward that one too.
If you are, like me, a great fan of "My Sassy Girl" the movie, stay away from this drama.

I enjoyed it in the beginning but stopped after 8 episodes. The last few episodes sound very disappointing from what I've read.
Watching Saigo no Koi episode 2. This wasn't as good as I thought it would be given the stellar cast and writer combination. Both the music and direction felt a bit off, hence the execution wasn't as effective as intended. Will keep watching though.
HAve a fun Beach holiday with our favorite boys, Wyn-chan.
I went to bed after watching 2 episodes, but then I couldn't stopping thinking about watching more, so I pulled out the laptop and watch three more episodes.

Yikes, thanks for the warning. I loved the Korean movie.

I second this. I gave up on the drama just after two episodes. It's hard to stretch out a two-hour movie for a drama, and sadly the drama's filler material just wasn't working for me. The relationship between the two leads just didn't have the charm as the movie.
That would be Toru Nakamura. I always remember him from Sleeping Forest. I watched Kokoro when they aired it here. You've got a couple of pros in Ran Ito as Kokoro's mother and Akira Terao (Yasashi Jikan ) as her estranged father. I thought it was just average. Noriko Nakagochi is gorgeous but let's face it, she can't act her way out of a bag of Cal-bee potato chips.
Since for me beauty is an inherent part of the qualification for a drama, I did enjoy Kokoro, despite it's boring nothing story, due only to Noriko chan. However, I found her much more appealing as the bitchy gold-digger in Pride.

Finally finished Sweet Home. That was a fun drama and I loved the characters. I have to admit that even though that nosy neighbor irritated me at first, she became my favorite character towards the end. Such a catty, yet vulnerable character. And hilarious too. I loved Yamaguchi Tomoko's natural way of acting. Just a simple thing like doing everyday chores while she's saying her lines just makes it seem like she's not acting, but she actually is the Wakaba character. Danta Yasunori was another favorite as a man who lost interest in his wife (gotta love that scene in one of the interviews ). I gotta put this on the highly recommended category. _________________

I forgot about Ryokiteki na Kanojo. I thought My Sassy Girl was a decent movie but I didn't "love" it. I thought the series started out good but it did get boring about halfway through. I'd still give it about an 8/10. _________________

Sounds like we agree on this one: fabulous casting, terrible direction. And seriously.. could there be a better Takemoto? (though I would put both Morita and Yamada before Hagu-chan) _________________

Watching Monster Parent ep 1. I don't remember downloading this but it was on my computer so I guess I did. We'll see if I like it enough to continue for the rest of the season... _________________

I'd be interested in your thoughts, momo-chan. I have the first 2 eps and subs downloaded but haven't watched it yet (except for the first 15 minutes of ep 1 without subs).

My gawd. I must have cried at five different intervals in epi 9 of Beach Boys. This episode really got to me and it was really hard to watch.
Man, didn't expect this to happen.
On to epi 10.
I also quite enjoyed Beach Boys. But I do gotta say that my favorite part was in the theme song- when they walk out of the water and strip off their shirts! _________________

Toma was good as Takemoto? I didn't watch this one yet since everyone saying it kinda sucks but since I'm a fan of the anime (and love the movie) maybe I can watch this for Toma sake :/
Currently watching Pride. again. so cheesy but Takuya/Yuko chemistry was fabulous!
