Naoto (Toma) father is not dead! The murdered old guy was Naoto defense lawyer when he was a kid. Didn't you watch the party scene, the flashbacks... everything?? The guy with a full silver head of hair is Naoto's father. The one he and his brother calls otou-san.
I think you need to watch it again, really carefully suzzy-san

Is it really true that Maou only has 6 episodes? I saw it in wiki.d-addicts. NUH!!!!! I don't want it to end so fast! I was just wondering why the Summer Drama for 2008 isn't updated. I wanted to add Maou to my list!

^ i think the wiki page is only tentative. they haven't decided yet on number of episodes. Its impossible to have only 6 episodes since they are remaking from a 20 episode Korean drama (75 minutes per episode to be exact)

the low ratings doesn't bode well with me.. is it too dark? the acting not good enough? no lovable character to root for? very disheartening. seeing at the amount of detail they put into this drama yet still failed to garner higher ratings.

i know and was expecting a drop but not this much single digits! this just squashed my hopes of seeing it made into a full 12 episode serial. However it does explains why they were moving the pace of the story at a lightning speed. Maybe they have figured out it might not garner much attention with a dark complicated theme. This however will be a cult favorite like the original. Hopefully.

How sad... I've rather enjoyed the first two episodes so far. I guess other networks know when to show their anime to get high ratings... whenever Maou is on This is the second time right?

i think Ghibli is currently promoting their new movie so they are re-airing the old ones weekly at NTV. The Devil has bad luck to be up against Totoro... episode 3 was quite enjoyable too. hoping that Japan will keep on watching

I watched the premiere but never watched the following episodes. I guess I didn't find it too interesting. I however, did record the episodes and will continue to do so. Perhaps I'll watch it later. Why the drop in ratings?
