On Topic: Finished Zettai Kareshi with sis. Funny, silly, heartwarming drama. She now wants to watch Over Time with me, so we re-watched epi one together and will watch epi 2 later today. Which means I need to start another drama I can watch on my own. Next on the list for me is Proposal Daisakusen.
I'll be starting Over Time once it finishes downloading, someday. I enjoyed watching Proposal Daisakusen, I think partly because it makes me think back to my high school days about things I could have or should have done. Yamapi and Masami-chan are decent in this drama, and the show has enough funny moments to help move it along and the melodrama is kept to a minimum.
Watched the second episode of Change late last night, and I enjoyed that episode. Got the third episode downloading at the moment and I'll be watching that in a bit.

Have you seen Lipstick yet? I really liked her in there. Kubozuka Yousuke, Ikewaki Chizuru and Ito Ayumi (Wedding Planner) are in it too.

I really loved Zettai Kareshi. It was a really great casual kind of drama where you could just relax and laugh without thinking.
I wonder how Proposal Daisakusen is...
On topic: Watched a couple more eps of that Shiro drama. He's such a crazy stalker. Stalk me instead, Shiro baby! _________________
Familiar face from Episode 3: Hirosue Ryoko... Her character was pretty irritating.

Same here... I think she's overrated.

I am getting tired of Galileo in his "revelation" mode where he starts writing down a bunch of bogus formulas with a rock or whatever... That gimmick is so played....
He does it in every. single. episode.
But they're short segments that last like 15 seconds, so they're easily ignorable.
I love the little light hearted comic mystery shows. But there's something missing in this one.
And I think I have to blame the actors.
The plots and mysteries for these types of shows always seem to come from kids puzzle books, or the back page of the Sunday Comics. So it's not like I'm very demanding when it comes to the problems and the solutions.
The characters and their relationships tend to carry the shows.
And a few episodes in... this one is just laying there like a dud. _________________

Boy Beemer. You can't keep a secret for beans.
Now everybody's gonna know how slow I am.
Okay, yup.
Because Mop Girl has what Puzzle doesn't... that being enjoyable characters and some fairly decent writing...
BMW and I are working on "Mop Girl".
I don't know if d-addicts will let us put the sub files up because there's a rule saying that if someone else was hard subbing it, you can't just put up the remaining soft sub files. You have to do the show from the beginning.
Well... I don't want to. The original subbers did a nice job with the first 5 episodes. And it takes me forever to bang an episode into shape. And there's no point in putting in that much time, or that much effort, just to create a set of subs that are inferior to the ones that are already out there.
So... once I get these buggers finished, I'll ask at d-addicts about posting them. But if they say no we'll hard sub them and scatter them among the traders.

Geez: you & beem are awesome! I hope you guys will be able to get it done because that's one drama that I'd love to see finished. Are you translating it yourself? _________________

I'm translating a set of subs, rather than the show itself.
Since I liked "Mop Girl" I bought a retail copy with English subs from Taiwan. But as always... the subs are awful.
So BMW ripped the sub files off the discs I bought, and I'm retiming them for the version gryzze put up at d-addicts, and doing my best to translate the EngRish into English.
It takes a while since I have to go line by line. But I will finish them.
Then BMW gets to tell me where I screwed up, and then he authors the discs.
It's pretty much the same thing we did with the final episodes of "Jikou Keisatsu 2".
The subs won't be a literal translation of the dialogue... but they should be good enough to help. _________________

Ohhhhh okies. Good! Tho I shoulda checked the casting. I recently saw masami-chan in Last Friends... and a break from her would have been nice. O well.

O NO!!!! That's too bad to hear! I really enjoyed Ima.

Geezer, BMW, you two have no idea just how happy you made so many people. This is EXACTLY what I've been wanting for a while, and to be perfectly honest I was THIS close to deleting the show off my hard drive. Glad I held onto them!

Wow, i'm impressed. I know how much trouble just editing subs can be. If they complain at d-addicts, then they need their heads read

I'll go you one better: I don't even have this drama on my hard drive.

Gonna guess on that timing then, eh?
Well, good luck to the both of you. I'd definitely like the softsubs when you guys are done, that show has haunted me since last fall as far as where it could go (the episodes I did watch were sooooo good!).

BMW
You know better than anyone that hints like that don't go unnoticed on this thread.
As for singing like a canary...I was just tearing the band aid off as quickly as I could.
No problems. I just don't want people to think that these subs are gonna be ready by the end of the week.
I may not be accurate... but I'm slow.
As for d-addicts and their rules. I have no complaints. I only mentioned it because putting the soft subs up for download might be a problem. But that's a couple of bridges down the road. _________________
