Is Proposal really that bad? Seemed a bit interesting from what I could tell, but maybe it's just the fangirls who gave it too high a rating and gushed too much about it. I wish there was a voice of reason in the sea of fangirly reviews. Grumble

I'm not a fangirl/boy if I say so myself, and I enjoyed it immensely. Sure, there are times when the show itself feels like it's dragging, but I personally liked the premise of the show and gave it one of my better reviews.

I came into this one fresh off of Dragon Zakura, that made it even MORE interesting since I semi-treated it like the two characters played by Masami & Yamapi were the same as they were in the last show. Gave it THAT much more interesting flavour, hehe.

On topic: Finally watched Tomorrow Ep. 3 after several attempts (bad downloads, rrrg! Bang Head ). THIS is how you do a medical drama, the writing and plot twists are actually pretty interesting, with no clear-cut bad guys or good guys, not to mention the way they are all connected in *ahem* special ways. Looking forward to the next episode this afternoon! Victory! Peace!

Watched Ep. 7 of 1 Litre of Tears last night.. starting to get pretty rough. The hard thing about that series is that every episode, something new is harder. I do think it tries to be somewhat upbeat though by showing Aya's mental and physical successes where they happen

Finished Hanayome wa Yakudoshi. Ryoko Shinohara always the star, kept me interested. She really is a much more talented than most of the female geinojin acting on Japanese TV. But as shin2 alluded to earlier...she could shine more brightly if she acted in some shows with better scripts.

Shed a few for Erika while you're at it...

This is totally OT...

I'm convinced the Kamisama of acting appeared before Erika after a few of her minor roles, and gave her the gift of acting..

she used 95% of that gift on 1LOT, and the remaing 5% for Taiyou no Uta....

after that ...PFFFT...

Despite that, she will remain in my top 9 actresses because of 1LOT...

Watched episodes 3-9 of Tengoku e no Kaidan yesterday. This drama is full of twists and turns even though it started off a bit slow. I guess I got addicted since I watched it on and off through the day instead of studing. I particularly like Kato Masaya as the director of the corporate with a shady past. His brooding and silent nature initially made me think he was one of those dumb guys who rely only on their physical strength, but he has a passionate side and is fiercely loyal to the main character. I can't wait to see what happens in the last 3 episodes. If I had to rate it now, it'd probably be an 8.5 or 9.

Change.

I'm three episodes in and so far I'm enjoying myself.

Okay, so whoever put the show together, the writers and directors, et. al. seem to have learned everything they know about politics, government and justice from watching Frank Capra movies -- there's a lot of "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" in this show -- but then, that's where I learned most of my politics too, so I don't have a big problem with it.

Thing is... it's a great cast, and the show is influenced by a great story teller... so unless they go badly off the rails, I think I'm gonna really like this show.

Finished Tengoku e no Kaidan and I found it to be a really intriguing drama. If you like dramas with lots of secrets, suspense, and twists, you'll enjoy this one. 9/10

Next up: Sono Ki ni Naru made with my Shiro. In love

Started watching Yasuko to Kenji today (both episodes 1-2 are subbed so far), and absolutely LOVE it. Finally found the 'summer comedy' that usually surfaces, and Matsuoka Masahiro is just insane as the older brother to up-and-coming star Tabe Mikako (she played Ikegami Takako in Yamada Taro Monotagari).

Also watched episode 4 of Tomorrow, and will try real hard to force myself into Lotto 6 episode 3 by the end of the week.
