Traditionally, summer is the weakest dorama season and lowest ratings. I wouldn't worry about it
so am to believe - that Code Blue who holds the highest ratings (new summer dorama) so far is due highly because of "fangirls" - the power those fandom's possess - they are the economic curve - incredible - you go girls
Let us count the ways.... A lot of the blame has to go to the writers and production staff as well, since they sold their souls to the devil for ratings.
at least those who have watched LF have come to an agreement that the fault does not solely lies on his shoulders. he was given a poorly written character and couldn't find his way out of it. I still see some potential in him just because of Asou-kun in 1LoT.

Certainly not, it's the fact that it's a fangirls' response to say that this show is the 'best ever' because of his performance...which honestly was probably the weakest (contested by Masami, but I blame that again on the writers since she's good at happier characters).

so he is doom to be labeled as a weak actor all through his career because he has loud & blind fangirls? poor Ryo . As for Masami, so the writers should condone to the actors ability as opposed to the storyline? Gee... LF sure screwed some talents.
let me guess.. he has now fallen under the same category as Tackey, Jin, Kame, Matsujun, and Yamapi . Uh oh! Maybe even KimuTaku himself
You said it, not us.
I think to get rid of that stereotype these actors/actresses need to diversify their roles instead of playing the same type (Kimutaku comes to mind, IMO)... People like Abe Hiroshi, Eita, Juri-chan, etc. are more true actors since they've played a number of different roles convincingly, showing their skill and versatility...

Nope, just trying to emphasize the biasness (though I really shouldn't include Jun in that group. he's chosen diverse roles and delivers). Kimutaku seems impossible to play the loser roles. Maybe he should try to act as a transvestite then maybe finally he'll be recognized... but EXTRAORDINARY numbers already proven he is a GREAT actor.

Numbers only indicate his popularity, nothing more.

btw, I'm not that impressed by Eita.
I am... He's a very underrated actor.
I'll take his acting over Kimutaku's any day of the week.

Watch the following shows, in the following order, to see his diversity and skill:
- Water Boys
- Orange Days
- Nodame Cantabile
- Loss Time Life, Story 1
- Last Friends
I have. Except for LF and Lost Time. There's also another movie of his I've seen... the one with Sakuranbo girl and Kimi wa Petto. He didn't impress me much. His acting felt mild and safe. Maybe its the type of characters he was given.

Oh really. Its still extraordinary to top every ratings, rankings with a large difference from the competition. Those people who voted for him must be blind.

Well, I'm not a fan of Eita's acting either. I've always thought of him as the visual-based actor
I've seen all of those series listed except "Loss Time Life", and frankly, he was pretty much same. Also seen him in Dororo, where he was even less convincing in armor. He does have his moments, but then again, so does everyone, including KimuTaku
He was VERY good in the movie "Ahiru to Kamo no Coin Locker" though, different role too.
I guess it can be disputed that KimuTaku has a bad acting skill, but he does have naturally born actor talents other than looks, one being charisma/power to inspire, the other the convincing tear scenes. I wouldn't think he would ever play a loser role given his status in the J-entertainment industry, but he did play a blind man in somewhat less glamorous position in "Bushi no Ichibun".
Personally, I'd give KimuTaku 6/10 in acting, but Eita 4/10. BTW, I'm not a girl and not into men
