Aya Ueto to play "Japanese Paris Hilton
Sun, August 10, 2008 (5:38pm EDT)
This fall, Fuji TV is producing a drama series called "Celeb to Daihinmin," a romantic comedy starring Aya Ueto and Yusuke Kamiji. Ueto's role is said to be inspired by American celebrity Paris Hilton.
The story revolves around Alice Hirata (Ueto), the spoiled and naive daughter of a wealthy hotel magnate. Kamiji plays an impoverished widower raising three children. Between the two contrasting characters, romance is born.

Does anyone in real life believe Paris Hilton would fall in love with an impoverished widower with 3 children?
Why do they pick such a foolish story-line? Can't they find a million and one better stories for Aya to play?

ATTENTION PLEASE !
TO ALL OVERSEAS FANS WILLING TO JOIN THE OFFICIAL FANCLUB !
A few days ago, UAFC ( http://bbs.uetoayafans.com ) sent a letter to Oscar Pro asking whether or not it is possible for overseas fans to receive the ayanosuke magazine. (if you never saw one, here is an example : http://bbs.uetoayafans.com/viewthread.php?tid=5808 ). Until now, the registration to the Offical FanClub was only opened to people living in Japan. This registration gives you access to the Official fan magazine (Ayanosuke), but also to live events with Ueto-kun. Although we, overseas fans, we don't expect to be present at those events all the time, it would be good to be recognized as true fans and thus receive the magazine, the free goodies, the internet stuff such as wallpappers.
Oscar Pro answered to UAFC (special thanks to jinzoaya) :

Thank you for your support towards Ueto Aya
We have already received your letter and fax, but at this time Ayanosuke is only accepting people within Japan to become fan club member. Also, the Fan Club magazine is made for members only so we are only selling them to our members. In the past, we tried to open the door for other people via internet but now it has been appealled. Please accept our apology.
We are very glad to know that people from overseas would like to join the fan club as well. We will take this into account for our future consideration of setting up a system for you all to join the fan club. We would like to ask for your patience and please send us any suggestions that you may have for our reference.
Thank you all for your continued support
As replied, they turned us down. But it's good to know that they're interested in knowing how many fans actually there are overseas, and they want every one of the overseas fans to send them a letter to voice out their opinions (it's convenient for them to know the actual number).
Therefore, please express your opinions freely to Oscar. Just as what I and freefall said, we don't expect to join the events in Japan, but at least we can join the fan club and so order the magazines overseas.
Since someone in Oscar can read English, it should be alright even if you write in english. It's like a motivation letter, but this time Oscar Promotion is ready to read your opinions and thus looking forward to your letters. You can tell why you are supporting Ueto-kun despite the fact you're overseas, what she means to you...
You guys can write whatever you want but please mention these 3 points:
1.Please you must mention 'WANT TO JOIN THE FAN CLUB FROM OVERSEAS'.
2. Where you are from (Country/Region), I believe Oscar wants to have this information.
3. Setup a procedure for overseas fans to join the Fan Club (In fact, getting the fan club magazine is not so important because if you are a member, it is automatically available for you; plus, Oscar already stated that magazines are for members only, so must say you wanna join)
Thank you very much!

Hello! I'm an Aya fan from Hong Kong. I've always wanted to join Fan Club "Ayanosuke" from overseas, but apparently there is no such path to do so. Thus, I really hope that Oscar Promotion could arrange and setup a system for us to join the fan club. Thank you very much.
And please let Aya know that I will always support her and "Happy Birthday"!
