Since I have a crush on her, I figure any show Aibu is in starts off with 2 automatic points out of 10 in the scoring system. (I've been watching the Olympics.)
I'm 8 episodes in and this show gets a solid 2 from me.
But it hasn't been a complete waste of time. While it's been running, I've had time to do my bills, and vacumn my carpets, and catch up on the sports pages.
LOL.
So this drama is the equivalent of elevator muzak, huh?

Aw, that's too bad. I really enjoyed this drama. Still, it is pretty juvenile and cheesy, so I get why some people wouldn't like it.

On a much better note, has anyone watched "Himitsu no Hanazono"? It looks interesting but I'm tentative to download the batch on d-addicts because I don't know if it has subtitles.
Any guesses?
It seemed interesting at first, but I was disappointed overall. You should just check it out because my opinions aren't always popular.
On topic: Watched up to episode 8 of Kita no Kuni kara late last night. _________________
I kind of enjoyed it... but then again it was another show that I watched just so that I could stare at the star.

Popular opinon has littered our TV screens with "American Idol" and "Survivor". Thanks to "popular opinion" the "Lawrence Welk Show" forced Sid Caesar's 'Your Show of Shows" off the air.
Popular Opinion seems to me to be wrong more often than it's right.
Back to "Boy Friend"... I think I'll raise my grade to a 2.5. After 9 episodes I'm starting to like Sasaki Kuranosuke as Namikiri, the guy who created the robot.
BMW
Hmmm. Sort of a harsh thing to say about MUZAK. _________________

I agree that popular opinion is not always correct, especially if majority of the people on this site are fanboys/girls/younger than 20. Still, I'm one of those people who enjoy a light-hearted and sometimes cheesy comedy or romance, so this was the perfect type of drama at that time for me.

Oooook. I just finished downloading it. OK, one for the "later" pile
Wyn, momo-chan and I liked this drama, so try a couple of episodes and judge it for yourself.
On topic: Watched up to episode 12 of Kita no Kuni kara. I didn't realize how involved with this drama I became until I kept on wanting to watch more episodes. Only halfway through and I don't want it to end. _________________

O! You're pulling ahead of me!

Maybe between me and momo-chan we could get it to you ^_^
Or I could send her the entire thing.

At the rate that you and I watch dramas, I'm sure you'll be done before me.

For large series like this, I prefer getting the discs from several different people because I know I'd want to get other dramas from them as well. Thanks for the offer though. ^_^ _________________

Now that I finished Aishiteiru to Itte Kure, I picked randomly from my collection and got Bengoshi no Kuzu. I hope this is good.
I watched Bengoshi no Kuzu straight after Aishiteiru to Itte Kure as well, and I had a massive heart attack when I saw the 360 transformation of Toyokawa Etsushi from the passionate deaf lover to the crazy, bonkers pervert with make-up on, lol. The key to enjoying Bengoshi no Kuzu is to not take it seriously at all....they even make fun of themselves and the show on more than one occassion!
On topic, watching Hotaru no Hikari ep 5. Loving it so far, but man, that Makoto guy doesn't know how to act! He's stiff as hell.

Trying to fit in a drama binge before classes start up again. I ended up downloading an ungodly amount of first episodes, but here are the ones I'm actually following more or less:
Yasuko to Kenji
Silly and fun.
Monster Parent
It's the quasi-teacher in me that really appreciates this one- though all of my students are grown so thankfully I don't have to put up with crazy parents
Ningen Shikkaku
One of those "why-the-hell-not?" downloads. I had no idea what the premise was or who starred in it- but the story seems to be ok-darker than I expected, but a nice change from all the silly.
Code Blue
I blame Last Friends for upping my tolerance to not-so-great drama. There are times during this I groan, but then I think "Well, at least its not as bad as Last Friends..." and then I sit through another ep. Also, I have a hidden soft-spot for medical dramas, even ones that are totally unrealistic. Still its a nice way to just sit back and turn your brain off and learn medical jargon in Japanese.

LOL, so LF has upped your tolerance to pain... That drama's lowered my tolerance.
