where's the article for the award yukie won?
is it the korean awards or a local one?
no matter what, she deserved it. and yes, you just have to understand japanese mentality why these weird things happen.
she lost as CM queen, but she still wins acting awards.

i've seen gokusen 3, and i have to admit it's not that bad. although most of the plotlines are a total rehash from 1 and 2, the actors are the main reason why the show is watchable and entertaining. and yukie in fact is a better actress now, that's why most people still watched it despite the stale plot. it's amazing, too, since gokusen 3 had stiff airtime competition.
i dont know about you, but another reason i watched it is because of grandpa's life lessons. they add more value to the show, and endears you more to the characters. that's a subconscious reason why we still watch it despite everything else.
another thing: the fight scenes are better now than in 1 and 2.

has anyone noticed that her hands and feet are rather large for her size?
it's not mentioned anywhere, but most likely she did not go to any major college. however, it's said that she has a license to pilot a small ship (she also likes scuba diving) and she has an assistant grade for teaching okinawan dance, so most likely she was trained for skills that would help her career.
you'd also notice a major change in her mannerisms and acting from her younger days and after 'ring 0', which means that she was given extensive trainings and acting workshops. you can see how youthful she was in her early interviews, and how composed she is today.
as for her face, the most noticeable change is her lip line, which means she has had a facelift. other rumors say that she has had nose surgery, but as i can see, there's no major change, aside from the fact that she has slimmed down which affected her features somewhat. you'll see it in her photos and videos. _________________

that site is chinese... even when there's an 'enter' link.
i tried creating an account through google translate, but the site reverts to chinese when entering information. so unless you can read chinese, you'll have a hard time going through that site. _________________

From top to bottom
-Visual Verification (input characters in picture, click picture to refresh/try again until you see tick)
-Math Verification (work out the sum or whatever)
-Username (if you don't see the tick, that means it's been taken)
-Password
-Password again
-Email
Probably need to reply to see the content of some threads

yes, that's it (www.loveyukie.com).
another shortcut would be to try to register/login using the chinese page while using the translated page for reference, then once successful, you can translate it again, so most likely it'll translate with your login and you could then open the other forums.
i'll try, let's see what happens...
SUCCESS!
oops...
i was able to login, but when you try to translate the photos section, it won't let you since you need to login first... anyway, just try to figure it out, it looks like there are a lot of stuff there! i'll share it with everyone once i decipher it.

New Yukie Nakama Pics ready for download! _________________
Nakama, Kase to star in Fuji TV series
Wed, October 22, 2008 (1:09am EDT)
Yukie Nakama and Ryo Kase will co-star in a Fuji TV drama series this winter. Titled "Arifureta Kiseki," the show will be the first series written by Taichi Yamada in 11 years. Yamada's last serial was TBS's "Fuzoroi no Ringotachi 4" in 1997, though he has written many tanpatsu dramas since then. He has reportedly stated that this will be his last time writing a series.
"Arifureta Kiseki" focuses on a woman (Nakama) living with her parents and grandmother, and a man (Kase) living with his father and grandfather. The story follows the ways that their ordinary lives and family ties begin to change after their encounter.
The show premieres on Fuji TV this January. It will air in the network's Thursday 10:00pm time slot. _________________

Oricon: sexy voices
Thu, November 6, 2008 (3:07am EST)
Which celebrities have a sexy voice? Oricon asked a thousand men and women that question in a poll taken last month. Masaharu Fukuyama unsurprisingly landed at the top of the list of male celebrities, though actress Aya Sugimoto was a more unexpected choice to lead the female list.
Fukuyama's closest competition was from Shosuke Tanihara and Hiro Mizushima at #2 and #3, respectively. Kirin's Akira Kawashima placed 4th, above popular actor Hiroshi Tamaki. The bottom half of the top ten consisted of Gackt, HYDE, Jin Akanishi, Hiroshi Abe, and Koshi Inaba (of B'z).
On the women's rankings, Kumi Koda came in second behind Sugimoto. Actresses Miki Maya, Hitomi Kuroki, and Rieko Miura took the next three slots. Ayumi Hamasaki was #6, followed by actress Kaori Momoi. Ringo Shiina, Yukie Nakama, and Norika Fujiwara completed the list.

Oricon: who do you want to host Kohaku?
Mon, November 10, 2008 (2:19am EST)
With Kohaku Uta Gassen only weeks away, NHK is expected to soon announce this year's celebrity hosts. Research firm Oricon took a look at who the public are hoping for, surveying 1,200 men and women over the internet.
In the male category, SMAP's Masahiro Nakai was the most popular choice. Nakai has been a Kohaku host four times already, including the last two years. He was also the top answer in last year's survey.
The other popular answers were Tamori, Sanma Akashiya, Tsurube Shofukutei (who hosted last year), Shinsuke Shimada, Masaharu Fukuyama, Takuya Kimura, Minomonta, Shosuke Tanihara, and SMAP as a group.
For female celebrities, young actress Aoi Miyazaki was voted #1, showing a boost in popularity after she starred in the taiga drama "Atsuhime." She bumped the previous survey favorite Yukie Nakama, who hosted Kohaku in 2005 and 2006, to second place.
The rest of the list for females were Akiko Wada, Masami Hisamoto, Becky, Norika Fujiwara, Junko Kubo, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, Harumi Edo, and Aya Ueto.
---
This doesn't normally happen, because she has more recall after a big series. But then, respected actors lose a bit of their popularity as they grow older, so it might just be okay. _________________
