There is quite a bit of that at my house too. My fiance is Scandanavian after all. hehe

On the plus side:
Beer is so cheap in AMerica Thumbsup One can drown oneself wholesale...

I thought that the latter posts fit the food thread more. Mr Green

First day of my new job tomorrow. After a week of buying things that I need for it... maybe I can start earning the money for all that stuff I've purchased now Sweat

It's a little scary - It's like being thrust, all of a sudden, into a leadership role in an established corporation.

I really wanna make a good impression and blow them away with my intelligence, dedication, and integrity. It's not that I don't know I can meet their expectations, it's whether I can beat them by my own expectation of what I'm capable of.

Well.. tomorrow I start my first day as an Associate Attorney. It's a big day.

Good luck! And remember, first impressions are overrated. There's always a second chance... tho knowing you, you'll blow them away with the first shot. w00t!

Hehe.. actually, after I got home from work, I went straight to the gym and had a little workout - so I've been home for about 25 minutes.

I'll tell you one thing.. the commute sucks. I'll be taking the bus at least 3 days a week until I move. I spent 1:30 on the 37 mile trip there this morning (granted the fog was uncanny today). I also got out of the house 15 minutes later than I wanted to - there was more to get ready for my day than I realized! The commute home was comparatively quick - about 35 minutes.

My first day went great, really. I actually felt really competent in a legal conclusion I made to one of the other associates who assigned me my first tasks. I think she was surprised at how well I knew the case when I told her about what I had decided. It felt a little long - I got in about 9 and left just about 10 to 6. I hope to move that back to around 8-5. I really like the associates at the firm. The staff are pretty cool too.. but I really like my two colleagues. The lead attorney is off on vacation for my first 3 weeks, so it'll be really interesting when he comes back and I won't be the only guy in the office Sweat

I'm excited - looking forward to what is to come, whatever it is w00t!

And thank you all for your support Hug
