When I left tonight, my colleague said have a good weekend. And for a second I believed it was Friday Shameful Cry only to realise she actually said have a good evening. ThatLs wishful thinking.

In general market news are not good - our clients - banks - are reducing workforces a lot. Citi will suppress 50,000 jobs Sweat

The freaking A/C is still not fixed so I'm stuck in an office with no windows and I feel like I'm going to faint. Stupid me forgot to bring a fan today, just in case. This is just pissing me off.

Yeah, they stopped the 401k match as of today. Beaten Grumble
Basically, we've just taken a 6% pay cut, well, for those that contribute to their 401ks.

I was down that road once. The bad news was our severance checks bounced. The good news was, being unemployed I had nothing else to do except harass them until I got my money. (Took about 10 days)

Speaking of rumours, , , Remember back in August they said they were going shut our office down by November? Well, in September they offered early retirement and about 40 people took it. It's now almost December and they're probably not shutting us down after all. Given what's happened to those people's retirement funds/401k's, etc., they're none to happy. The rumour is they're thinking of filing a law suit saying they were mislead into taking retirement. Should be interesting.

oh there the word crap

lemme see... i woke up early so i could have at least more than an hour allowance bcoz my workplace is far from my home. We have our lunch at 3pm coz we have this "per batch" shit policy. And we usually go home at 8pm (our sked is supposedly 6pm only) coz there are tons of things noy yet done... my other officemates go home at 10 or later actually.. and we are all girls!! since im in the timekeeping dept, days before payday we go home for like almost midinight bcoz of deadlines. And my work is from Mondays-Saturdays. Therefore, i am doomed of social life and all...

its my first job and maybe i havent fully adjusted yet and still on the state of shock.. okay nuff said...

The freaking a/c is STILL not working and this stupid portable one that they gave us doesn't really work that well, so I'm still dying even with my own fan blowing right in my face. The stupid a/c system is going to be replaced in JANUARY!!! 2 freaking months of this unbearable heat and I'm starting to get a neckache/tension headache now. I hate this! Angry

Having all that hair doesn't help either, I'll bet. Sweat

Wrap a wet towel around your neck while the fan's blowing on you: more evaporation cooling. Victory! Peace!
