After watching the first five episodes of the latest Nodame Cantabile anime, I find myself missing Juri-chan's wacky yet adorable mannerisms. The animated Nodame just can't compare :(

GYABO!!! :dancing: I thought this show would be kinda boring since it's about classical music. Boy, oh boy, how wrong was I! Juri-chan is really funny in her role!

IMO, Tamaki Hiroshi looks a little unconvincing in his role as Shinichi. He conducts rather rigidly, has an awkward expression, and repeats a few niche actions.

Franz covered his butt pretty well though! For me, Nodame and Franz are the highlights of the show!

LOL, I always thought conducting was rather unconvincing as a whole, but I guess it does serve a purpose... I think others thought Chiaki's (and Stresseman's) conducting was awkward or out of sync...

And the classical music is one of the many highlights of the drama: well chosen and well-performed pieces. :victory: :applaud: :bow:

I've tried to read the manga online and watch the anime version, but they just don't click for me... The live action trumps them in so many ways. ;)
