Wow, that was some time ago If it weren't for you guys, dramas like that would never see the light of day.
Yeah, Tokyo Elevator Girl aired in 1992... And Miyazawa Rie, at 19(?) was a sensation at the time... Especially with her Santa Fe photobook which had mobs of people waiting to buy it.

Kita no kuni kara ep. 1
What a wonderful series. That one tossed my one episode a day rule right out the window.
Right now I'm half way through "SCANDAL", and I love it.
One note to anyone who might watch it in the future. Don't look at the show's home page. Way too many spoilers in the picture gallery.
For my lunchtime series I've been watching Hitotsu Yane no Shita (Under the Same Roof).
THANK YOU SARS!!!
I watched "Hitotsu Yane no Shita" years ago on what had to be some of the worst video I've ever seen. (And those who know me know that I don't usually sweat jittery, grainy, degraded old video... but this was really bad.) And even though I could barely see the show, I loved it so much I went through both seasons (24 episodes) in two days.
The folks at SARS resurrected the show, coming up with A+ quality video, and they resubbed it. And I"m having a heck of a time forcing myself to turn the DVD player off at the end of each episode.
The great thing (for me) is that I missed so much of the show last time, considering how quickly a zoomed through it, and how bad the video was, that it's almost like seeing a new show. _________________

I've heard so many good things about it, I just had to start it.

I watched Aoi Tokugawa Sandai episode 1-2
It was good and I didn't get too confused, but maybe Taiga drama just isn't for me, I started episode 3 and just wasn't that interested in the political maneuvering. Tokugawa Ieyasu in this was much more laid back than I imagine him to be.

sounds great.
Before watching Sexy Voice and Robo I advise anyone to read sucigam's review. (That's what reviews are for, ne?) He/She hit the nail right on the head. I liked it a little better, I gave it an 8. The first episode is kind of strange, you'll probably be saying, "What the hell was that all about?" but things really come together in episode 2, it's one of my favorites, funny, sad, and sweet all at the same time.
Okay, so I've watched two epi's of Naguru Onna, and although Wakui Emi is uber cute, it's Fukikoshi Mitsuru who's drawn me in. His character fascinates me and I can't pinpoint why. I'm still not into the plot much. I'll have to give it more time. _________________

Oh My God.... I was at a really good part in the last episode of Kirakira Hikaru (yes, I spent all day watching it... what else do you want me to do on my break??) and my mom and sister just haaaave to watch the basketball game. They won't even let me change it during the commercials! My dad is watching the only other TV in the house, in my brother's room, because my brother's at his friend's house. Still no TV in the living room since it busted three years ago. _________________

You think you watched it?
Hmm, that drama really has your attention.
No, it's just that I watched a couple of episodes in a row, so I can't remember what episode I'm on now.

Looks like you're enjoying the series. Was it better than the Kasouken no Onna series?
On topic: Finished the 5th episode of Muri na Ren'ai. It's really growing on me. Even though Chappy is like twice her age, I'd rather have him than that loser bf of hers. _________________

So, does that mean you're enjoying Kira kira Hikaru?

Personally, I enjoyed this drama that has Suzuki Kyoka in it much more than Scandal. I really liked Amano's naive, idealism. Also, even though Tsukiyama is a rather typical, tough lady detective, the awkward moments when the other ladies question her about her interest in men were fun to watch. The cases are pretty interesting and so are some of the guest stars like Tomosaka Rie.

I finished it! And yes, I enjoyed it. I loved Tsukiyama the best. _________________

I read it and it is intriguing.
I could use something fun and different after From The North Country. _________________
