Nice pics Hanzo And you're right, most people don't realize how much of Japan is farms and mountains. I almost always get a surprised look from people when I tell them it snows in Japan. I guess they think it's all kimonos and samurai's.
Hmmm... farms. Yep. That's a natural! Lot of farms.
Here's two final pictures of me and my date for the 11/29 show at the Umeda Performing Arts Center Main Hall.
ah, cool family photo of you two!
and awesome photos you posted above on Japan,
i might be visiting Kobe again soon.
thanks for posting all the photos!
What are you going to do? Where will you go in Japan?
No idea yet actually. I just realised today that I have enough miles to claim a flight to Japan! Will update when I have some rough plans. _________________
Super Good! Miles always helps in cutting downing the expenses.
Do you hope to site-see or see-sites? No matter what you can't lose with a trip Japan!
i am researching what other Japanese cities to visit, especially west of Hiroshima, maybe Fukuoka area. I'm not certain if i will stay overnight there, but thinking maybe a night or two in Osaka, day trip in Kyoto area, visit Namba in Osaka, and head to Hiroshima/Fukoka. I heard some of the temples in that area are worth checking out.
Anyone heard of Kokura - Tenjin, a friend of mine said worth visiting, is it the country-side? perhaps i should look into it further.
I think Namba is just a little past Shinsaibashi on the Midousuji line. Shinsaibashi is a cool place to check out too.

@Gaijinmark,
thanks for the link, i will check this out as part of my research for Japan.
@Hanzo21,
i've been to Namba last time, but only for a short time, and was very limited, since i had to catch the train back to Kyoto, where i was staying at the time. I'd like to fit in a bit more time if i can, but perhaps, a few hours cause i have lots of other places to see. I'll probably go to Namba earlier in the day, and head out afterwards to another place. Shinsaibashi, i have heard of this place, and i may check it out too. I most likely will be traveling via Hikari-line Shinkansen, but then again once i am in Kyoto i probably will switch over to the JR-line, and as you say maybe Midousuji line, i don't actually recall the train transfers that i took to Kyoto to Shin-Osaka, to Namba. I know that i took the Shinkansen Hikari to Shin-Osaka, but i don't remember which train from there i took to Namba.
It's real close to the Osaka/Umeda station/area. However, there's a lot of construction going on. I couldn't figure out how to get there from that main station. I couldn't even get a good angle on it to take a picture. The satellite view in maps.google.com explained why. Maybe getting off the train one stop to the West is the ticket to getting there.
Oh yeah... it's only 700 Yen (or was only 700 Yen) to go up and use the crazy escalators.
This is as close as I could get from Umeda station:
^ its a thought, in Osaka, but i'd have to look thru some Japan travel books on what places to visit. I also thought of the country-side of Takayama, but i might opt'd for Fukoka, Kohara-Tenjin instead, not exactly sure, i have a lot of studying-Japanese, and travel books to read in the next few months.
Thanks for your info/pix, and your advice/suggestion is always appreciated.
What can you tell me of Sendai, Niigata areas, in the Tohoku region? have you seen it much or have any info? Miyagi, Akita, and Yamagata areas might see a bit north to travel to, from Hiroshima, Osaka areas, but Sendai is a possiblity, just a thought though.
