I watched the first lesson of the Nodame Cantabile in Europe special again after a few months and it's still fun to watch. I miss Juri-chan's Nodame character and her look. I think out of all the dramas and movies I've seen her in, I still prefer her Nodame look. It's a very cute, down-to-earth look. Victory! Peace!

Watching the lesson also reminded me of how insanely wacky Nodame Cantabile can be. I can't think of any other drama I've seen that can even begin to get near the craziness of this drama. It's madness, in a fun way.

I agree... There's an indescribable something that you can connect with... Smile

Bonk Hana yori Dango has many similarities to Nodame Cantabile. Similar spunk in the main character. While maybe nearly as cute as Nodame, not nearly as fun. Both Tsukushi and Nodame contrast tremendous strength with vulnerability.

Chiaki is so much better a character than Domyouji. No doubt.

And Mine's dad? Well... you know. Mr Green

Oh.. and the writing in Nodame Cantabile is loads better than Hana yori Dango. Sure, same cliches.. but Nodame handles them so much better. No contest here.
