waaay too thick. and it's like they kind of mumble to get this natural serious feeling thing. and speak really quick too. I just saw Shaun of the Dead (the horror movie) and understood it just fine but this...
might give Hell's Kitchen a try. always loved anything that has to do with food. Top Chef's season just ended. did you see it? _________________

Ive watched most of the Top Chef season but not the finale. I'll have to take a look tonight as they always have it on repeat.
What was the secret ingredient?
I didnt know they had a Law And Order UK.
Knockoffs are everywhere........

no secret ingredient, they were asked to cook the best meals they could for the finale. but there was a surprise protein challenge. Since it was in New Orleans the proteins were red fish, crab (are crabs protein?), and alligator. yup, aligator. wonder what alligator tastes like
thx Eve! it's Shibasaki Kou |
Crab and shellfish are protein for sure.
Alligator tastes like a slightly fishy, chicken.
Kou looks stunning in that pic! _________________

Yup.
I've had it at the Ragin' Cajun... Sorta briny-flavored chicken.

I'm not too keen on the spinoffs (SVU, CI), but the original is great... And it's been on 19 seasons.

I like it waaay better than Dexter, which i don't like at all. |
Alligator is fairly common in Florida. And sometimes very tasty. Depends on who cooked it.
DExter was the creepiest show Ive seen in a long time... I couldnt watch the entire first episode. Apparently I dont want to know about a serial killers rituals. _________________

Sounds like you're looking for more style than substance...
I really like the straightforwardness of Law & Order: it's all about the investigation and prosecution of crimes... No soap opera crap about personal lives and loves, just the meat and potatoes.

I think thats why my Mom likes it. She's a business lady not a soap opera fan. _________________

I've never understood why people still watch Law And Order.
CSI and all it's incarnations is -- okay, trying to avoid sounding judgmental -- crap.
Life
Top Gear
The Big Bang Theory
That's pretty much my weekly line-up. (Not counting News and Politics)
Though I do love watching The Food Network Challenges. Watching these big time chefs and pastry chefs from all over the world creating these amazing works of art out of cake, or chocolate, or sugar. Jeez! _________________ Manga is to Literature

I love the cake challenges especially. The artistry is unbelievable.
My favorite was the Halloween cakes this year! But all of the challenges were remarkable. _________________

I don't think there is anything about j-dramas, but there seems to be a good mixture of documentaries and films, including Beat Takeshi's wonderful Kikujiro. The documentaries may be available with the BBC's iplayer, but I think it is restricted to UK IP addresses. |
Hmmm. I wonder if Firefox's ProxySel addon will overcome that?

Because it's better than 99% of the junk on TV.
Love that show's quirkiness and style... Not formulaic at all.
