Truth be told, I'm a little scared - student loans make everything harder Bang Head

I'm gonna do my best to find something better suited to me, but who knows where I'll end up.

Rude awakening for me: I was let go from my job today.

I'm already on job hunt again - got home at 3:30, had resume, references, cover letter updated, unemployment benefits applied for, along with 8 resumes out by 6:30. Sweat

All said and done, it's probably a good thing: I was dreading going every day for boredom. But really.. now is not the time to be looking for work Doh!

Drag... You weren't there very long, huh?

I've been laid off twice in my career... And moved on to better things, for the most part.

Ganbatte yo... Victory! Peace!

No, it was a short run - 4 months to the day. I think it was a bad fit, really... the owner wasn't too happy with me and I was bored out of my mind every day. Here's hoping I'll find something better, as it has seemed to work out for you.

Well seems like youre going to get a really good reference.

Life is all trial and error. I hope you find something that suits you soon.

Fingers crossed

Im finding myself rather single focused these days.

Thank you for the kind words (and the rest of you). It's scary right now, the economy being what it is and my student loans being what they are. But yes, keeping my chin up.

And if I were leaving in 15 days, I know where my mind would be as well w00t!

You should go watch them play. Mr Green Looks like they'll have to play the Kankokujins AGAIN.

Would somebody know where I can read about the latest Shogi news and scores?

Like this one, except with the most recent scores:

You'll do fine.
Smart, motivated people always do in the long run if not the short.
I have a couple of friends with those heavy student loans looming over them. Pat Pat Pat

And thanx, today it is exactly two weeks now till I go, I go, I go! yippee

Yeah and it's annoying. When the game was on, everyone and their mother was on their keitai watching or getting updates while heading for work.

At least people in Japan care. Somehow the US has managed to avoid getting eliminated in spite of some of the most idiotic managing this side of the Bad News Bears from Davey Johnson. Shake Head
And I guess Darvish will be pitching for Japan tomorrow, ne?

Yep and probably Cuba is the other place where people care. Let's be honest the other countries participating in the WBC don't really care. Obviously, players want to see if they can get signed in the MLB, but that's about it.
