Saw the first ep of Tenchijin, this is my first Jidaigeki, I wonder if I'll have the patience to watch all 47 eps. Can't say too much about it right now cause the first ep is still setting up the story. I'm terrible with names and now I have to keep up with all the names and name change in this show.

Yeah, it's a little tough at the beginning... Especially since they change their names when they grow up for some reason.
I didn't have this problem with Musashi, because I was more than familiar with all of the players from previous books and movies.

Watching Umizaru movie. Wow, I've only seen the first four episodes of Rescue (and really just skimmed through them using lots of fast-forward) but it looks like it copied a LOT off Umizaru. Pretty much just changed the setting... _________________

Jeez, I hate it when I get the order of my series wrong.
Ideally I like to watch the really good stuff on a real TV, sitting in my comfy chair, as a sort of a late night topper to the day. The lunchtime series gets played on a portable DVD player, on my desk, surrounded by power tools, and ringing phones, and nitwits barging in to ask the sort of questions nitwits always ask.
Because I really wanted to start Top Sales (Thanks to Anime Dad for providing the subs, and BMW for providing the discs) I popped it in as the lunchtime series.
Dumb. After watching the first episode, this is a comfy chair series if I've ever seen one.
And Innocent Love... Jeez, even with Yuki Uchida in it, this is a Lunchtime show. Especially since I downloaded the hard subbed copy, and the people who did it chose to sub the whole thing in fine print.
If you downloaded the hard subbed copy of this show, don't bother trying to watch it on any screen that's further than a foot away from your nose.
Anyway... it's all straightened out now. So I'm set with drama for another week.
Re: Rescue. I watched 15 minutes of episode 1 the other day. That was about enough for me. _________________

I'm glad you guys are enjoying Top Sales. I am waiting for beem's discs to arrive before I watch ep. 8: It's the only episode I didn't watch personally.

Okay, in an effort to wash the bad taste of Tomorrow out of my mouth, started Watashitachi no kyokasho (Our Textbook) pretty good 1st episode and a great cast, in addition to Kanno, there's Mirai Shida and Jun Fubuki, so far, so good.

You should.
Or I can drop a copy in the mail for you.
I will see if our "good torrents" at D-addicts can supply it first.. I'm getting Ruri no Shima on gaijinmark's recommendation and it's downloading quite quickly, even with only 1-2 seeders (I'm topping 1.5 meg/sec right now - I'm gonna miss this ~20 mbit connection when I move), so sometimes you get lucky, though Top Sales is pretty weakly seeded right now...
And if it falls through, I will perhaps consider your kind offer Also.. if I don't find a job, I may have to move back to Southern California - so at least I can have housing.. I just have no support staff up here; so you may not need to send it in a few months. _________________
