I am going to make a special birthday breakfast for my roommate tomorrow, despite the fact that she's extremely selfish, rude, and is kicking me out a week and a half after I lost my job... and is unfairly charging me for utilities.
Things get better, right?
(sorry, not a lot of fooding here, but she is going to be getting one of my special omelets, usually reserved for myself, my family & friends, or really cute girls <wink>) _________________

We actually have some good friends in Belgium. In fact i'm probably more likely to eat Japanese food in Brussels than in Tokyo
well if you do come to Brussels we have to have ramen together.

i had some eel over sushi, about 5 pieces for 1300Y, and i know it is pricy, but i figure i try some good eel before i head out. I bought it at one of those Depachika, more like a mini version, in a department store in Shinagawa station. Earlier in the day i had some beer at the Yebisu beer museum, they had some beer tasting, for a small cost. I had some premium dark Yebisu beer for 300Y in a glass. It was quite good.

Your roommate must be rather cute then, ne?
Ugh.. no. She's been a royal pain in the ass... and she's 30 years older than I am. I'm just being a nice guy.
Good news is she and her boyfriend really enjoyed it.. took me almost two hours, but it was delicious:
I made a fruit salad with a yogurt blood orange sauce, sauteed fingerling potatoes w/ onions and red peppers, artichoke chicken sausage/mushroom/onion omelet with cheddar cheese and pressed coffee.
Was hard for her to complain _________________

Went to the Gyoza Stadium last week. The Gyoza Stadium is part of Namja Town (Namco) in the Sunshine 60 Bldg in Ikebukuro. There's various gyoza stands to pick from. I must say they had some really good gyoza there. There's also an Ice Cream City next door that I had to make room for in my stomach. Needless to say I left the place stuff making it difficult to walk back to the train station.
I think you're talking about unagi donburi (eel over rice), ne?
1300 yen doesn't sound too bad: To get it here, it's about $15USD.
actually, it wasn't eel over rice(unagi donburi), but just 5 medium pieces of sushi with small pieces of eel over each one, not sure what they call that...unagi nigiri? but it was good, and i thought i try some before heading back.
@Takoyama, actually i found sunshine city last trip, but missed out finding where Namja Town was at, but perhaps another visit in the future i may go, but the food photos are nice.

And today, I spent 10 hours preparing for and hosting a birthday party for her. Really, maybe I am too nice...
lots of good food though - maybe I'll post some pictures once I take them off her camera. I managed to slice deep into my hand during my third hour of chopping today though... it makes it really hard not to bleed everywhere. _________________

ouch
hehe. gonna get some potato croquettes at school tomorrow morning as a way of rewarding myself for during a 1.4km run.
and i might get miso ramen from my school's cafeteria. im not sure how good it is, but i always see people buying them bowls of ramen.
or maybe it's just that it's cool to be having japanese food here in singapore as compared to other more...local cuisine such as chinese minced pork noodles, malay curries, and chicken rice.

It's on the second floor. Just ask the fine ladies working the information counters to help you find your way next time.
