Which is really a 75mm f/1.8 when you factor in the 1.5 multiplier. |
So desu yo. That's why I think I want a wider lens like the 24mm or the 35mm.

Well someone else will have to give them equal time: I'm a Canon person.

Then I'll have to volunteer to be that person. Ahem.

There's another guy on the 'net who's a staunch Nikon guy--Ken Rockwell--who claims to be the know it all regarding digital photography.
For the longest time, he extolled the virtues of the APS-sized sensor and why Nikon has stuck with it and would NEVER take the 35mm-sized sensor path like Canon.
WRONG.
Nikon released the full-frame D3x this year.

Yeah, that was a poor prediction. Even he should have realized that pros hate the 1.5x factor of the APS sensor. Wide angle isn't so wide when it's factored in.

Funny thing is, the claims claims he's a pro (maybe he is) yet doesn't realize the limitations of the APS-sized sensor.

It's an interesting camera, but I'm not sure what market they are shooting for. It's a bit much for the amateur, and the advanced amateurs would go for the D90, I would think.
But the swivel screen is a nice feature I wish my camera would have. Not easy to take an overhead shot if you have a larger lens, though.

That type of screen is common with the Canon "pro-sumer" cameras... Wonder if it'll get incorporated in future DSLRs.....?
