A friend of mine just went there w/ a few of his buddies. I haven't been there yet, so I don't have a first hand account.

He's korean and loves heat but he ordered level 2 and was satisfied w/ the heat.
His brother ordered the level 7 and couldn't finish it.
His chinese friend ordered the full spice and finished it but was sick for the rest of the night. Sweat Beaten

I am turning into a donburi fiend these days, too.
It's a pretty safe choice, not very edgy, Smile but it's got all the basic food groups and can taste very good.
I have to learn how to cook brown rice in my cooker.
They make fresh tofu not far from me, so I mix some of that in with the chicken.

Had lunch at Kunio in Waikele today (first time).
Not bad. The salmon could've had a little more flavor, but all in all it seems like a decent joint.
My brother's girlfriend's tenpura looked really nice. Yellow, flaky and the size was decent. (not like those stingy places who give you a tenpura the size of a green bean)

was trying to save money the next week or so, so i bought a substantial amount of minced beef, for about SGD2.75

i divided the beef into three portions. froze one, made a sloppy joe with another, and made a stew with the last, which i am freezing for lunch tomorrow.

three days on 2.75, not bad.

of course, i nicked ingredients from my parent's pantry. i stole half a carrot, a potato, concentrated chicken stock, and a large amount of sliced bread.

US resraurant chain to probe snake head in broccoli

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The US restaurant chain T.G.I. Friday's has asked the New York State Police to open a criminal investigation into suspected product tampering after a severed snake head was found among vegetables.

According to a statement issued by the chain late Friday, the head was found among broccoli by a restaurant patron in Clifton Park, New York, last Sunday.

"This is obviously something we took very seriously and we immediately pulled the product from all of our restaurants until an investigation could be completed," said Amy Freshwater, vice president of communication and public relations for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, the parent of T.G.I. Friday's.

As part of the investigation, the head was sent to an independent laboratory for testing, and the lab said the snake's head was never cooked.

It has been concluded that the head was placed in the food at some point after the cooking process, the company said.

"We don't know who was involved in this senseless act of product tampering, but we are cooperating fully with the authorities and will prosecute the individual or individuals involved to the fullest extent of the law." Freshwater said.
