Sorry I disappeared for a bit - after my family's visit, I went full time into find-new-housing-mode as things were, to say the least, grim.
I spent a week and a half searching for about 6 hours a day, visited dozens of possibilities, and was repeatedly thwarted by awkward and unfair mixed messages but ultimately I prevailed: I moved into a new place on Friday. I'm now in a rented room in a converted house with 8 other roommates. My room is small and it's crowded, but the rent is low. I spent much of today trying to jam all my stuff into my new little room in a way that didn't make it look like a crime scene.
I know that by the time I've been her a month or two, this place is going to drive me nuts - so many disorganized people (by my standards) in such a small space.
On the plus side, at least it was the nicest place I visited and the people here are pretty neat - some of the places I checked out were absolutely disgusting. I can only imagine that I'll be so incredibly relieved to be done with this particular housing situation in a few months.
I made myself a really nice dinner last night and was up until 3:00 messing with my computer. I can't help but feel a little lost. This are still rough, but this is a step forward: crazy roommates = crazy roommates - 1. 5 job-related communications sent out today. Hopefully things will start looking up again soon: phlargo may be strong, but even he needs a lucky break sometimes!
Chin is up. Time for bed!

Is that place you're renting in Tacoma? I know how you feel. Finding a good place in the East Bay in California sucks. _________________

On topic: Having to leave my new husband behind when I return to the States tomorrow. He still has stuff to finish up since nothing could be done last week due to the Easter Holidays. The whole country takes the week off. Even the grocery stores. It makes me nuts. It is so hard to get anything done here. And now he's stuck here longer. [/b] _________________

So what do people do, stock up for a week before? On the bright side, the horses will be glad to see you!
Yeah... It's more of a reminder of one of the first dramas (and actresses) I really liked: Tokyo Elevator Girl, starring Miyazawa Rie (who also happens to be the vocalist for the track )

That's too bad, Eve. But before I forget, CONGRATS, girl! That is so awesome that you guys got married! At least you'll never have to worry about him having to return back home every once in a while. _________________

I'm trying to decide between an LG View and an iPhone for my AT&T upgrade. The iPhone looks really cool, but I'm not sure it's worth the $70 at the cheapest plan. I mainly want a phone with a web browser and a large screen...and the LG would be slightly cheaper with a $15/month data plan vs. the $30 iPhone data plan. Anyone have either phone? _________________

People stock up or they drive to Sweden. Mostly drive to Sweden since the groceries are about half price and the beer costs only 25% what it does in Norway. Doesnt seem to cut down on the alcoholism rate though.

Thanx, AD. I'll cheer up once he has a definite date to come home. His and my life together is always so complicated from the outside but not between us,

I keep trying to tell myself exactly that but Im still bummed.
And stressed, hope a couple rides today will help that out.
