Yeah, the story and Yui-chan really snared me: I think I went through the entire drama in about a day... On the weekend, of course. Beaten

Cerebus saved me a lot of typing.

Quote:
Triangle, which after a promising start goes rapidly downhill. The main problem is the plot which is contradictory, nonsensical, contrived, badly paced, full of coincidences and is completely unoriginal. For a plot driven show, this is a bit of an issue. Characterisation was minimal, the cast spent most of their time explaining what was happening to each other. In all, it was a bit of an effort to finish.

Arifureta Kiseki was pretty much the opposite. Glacially paced and very subdued, but superbly written and acted with very naturalistic dialogue. There was a tangible sense of melancholy running throughout. You got the feeling the characters are real people leading real lives, and that they will continue to exist outside the confides of the story.

Yup. Near as dammit to my thoughts exactly.

Okay, I'm about 3 years late, but watching Nobuta wo Produce and like everybody else, this is really good! Up to epi 6 so far. Started watching it because I saw it was written by Izumi Kizara who also wrote Suika and Sexy Voice and Robo two other dramas I liked a lot.
From what I can find out those are the only 3 dramas she wrote. Batting 1.000 in my book. Applaud

That was one of the things that had scared me off, but she's real good in this. The only other thing she's ever done that I liked was the movie Always Sunset on 3rd Street

        Nobuta wo Produce eh?

Okay, I'll give it a shot. I'm down to one episode of Suika and I was wondering what in the world I could follow it with.

        Thanks for the tip.

Just a heads up, the first episode is kind of long and draggy, but it gets better after that.

Muri na Renai ep. 7 & 8. The only good thing about being sick at home (apart from not having to go to work).
