^Congrats to her. Though I've only seen her in like one or two films, so I can't say I'm a fan. So the guy was living in Hawaii, while the wife was pregnant. Head Scratch

She's really good in the TV drama Tokyo Elevator Girl (1992)... And she won an acting award for Tasogare Seibei (Twilight Samurai, 2002)... Victory! Peace!

Both are highly recommended. Smile

I've seen Twilight Samurai, I just thought her performance was alright. Her character, at times, seemed like a secondary character even though it was suppose to be a main one.

For the most part it was secondary to Sanada Hiroyuki's role, but key nonetheless... A lot of people have said that this movie was what Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai should have been.....

A film populated by few, laconic characters. It is quite atypical but Rie Miyazawa was stunning despite her lack of dialogue. I can't necessarily recommend the movie to fans of most Japanese films but for some reason I couldn't resist the compulsion to finish this film. The film draws the audience in to be a participating voyeur in the slow, unfolding events.

While this movie is hardily a classic showcase of Miyazawa's considerable talent, it does pique a certain curiosity about the central characters.

I enjoyed it because I love Rie Miyazawa but the film is definitely not your run of the mill joint. The spartan dialogue is almost ancillary to the film itself. Seriously. It adds little because the film itself propels forward almost solely on the basis of the images shown.

Miyazawa has a stunning wardrobe in the film though. HOT!

Nice. Again don't expect a laudable film like Twilight Samurai but expect some eye candy and some mystery, at least.

That's fine... As long as it's not a horror flick.

Not a big fan of the horror or fantasy genres.
