Just checking wikipedia... apparently, Kimura's drama ratings per episode has never dropped below 18% ever since Love Generation. Sorakara's lowest rating was 18.6%, Engine and CHANGE's lowest ones were around 19%.
So this is the first time Kimura's drama got 16% rating ever since GIFT in 1997...
If the boycotting is true... hmm, Kame has officially destroyed THE KimuTaku Rating Legend _________________

Hmm, I only know of Kame's drama Kami no Shizuku being a totally flop. I'm pretty much indifferent towards him, so I don't follow his happenings, but why is there so much animosity towards him lately? I mean, doesn't Kat-tun sell almost as much as? more than? Arashi
Also, does this mean people are going to boycott the Gokusen movie too

i know, i've also been wondering why there are so many Kame haters..unless there's really something about him worth "hating" for..
if they're gonna boycott the movie too just because of Kame, idk how to react on that anymore.. _________________

Well I don't know if this stuff does happen, but half of the people on my LJ are not going to watch Ep3 of this drama even with subs (me included), and 10% of it are living in Japan, so...
It kinda makes me worry for Dream Boys 2009 ticket sales though. I'm not fond of Kame, but my Eighter guy is the second lead in it and I hope his fans won't ignore the butai just because of Kame...hopefully so. _________________

Not only Kami no Shizuku, but all of his dramas since Nobuta wo Produce have flopped. Sapuri did OK, but that drama was definitely the first one for a Monday night drama to get less than satisfying rating, which is probably why FujiTV never hire him again.
Btw, Arashi sells the most recently, and KAT-TUN's sales have been dropping with each release. They're even selling less than Kanjani8 these days, and their latest album barely makes it at 200k in the first week. _________________

Wait.. what? why? Just because he is in it? I am not even his fan but I think this is rediculous. I can't understand the strong dislike ppl have to somebody they don't even know unless he had done something bad to you directly. Well, at least have some respect to the rest of the casts, while plotting someone else's doom. ><"

chotto matte... can we stop the discussion about kame and go back to the drama..
anyway, maybe the hatred has gone all the way to the production crew too. b'cos apparently episode 3 is the worst worst worst plot among the 3 so far. the crime case is lame to the max and totally ridiculous. _________________
agree with chokakoi. This thread should focus just on the drama itself.
Personally I think among all 3 eps, the recent ep had the worst storyline and it's way too predictable. that could have contributed to the drop in ratings.
I'm not sure on the rumours everyone said about Kamenashi affecting the ratings but whatever it is, the ep has aired and it's over so... yeah. no point talking about it.
so yeah,
guess we should stop discussing about it. =)
looking forward to ep 4! seems like it will be a interesting case that will apparently be explained in 2 episodes.
Gotta feel bad for Kamenashi because Ep. 3's story SUCKED imo. With or without Kame Ep. 3 was sub par. I guess Aibu Saki can share some of the blame too. Since it sucked I was able to switch back to the Yomiuri Giants vs. Nippon Ham Fighters game on NHK to watch Darvish Yu pitch.
Lastly, I'm finding Mizushima Hiro's character very annoying the more I continue watching this dorama. I just want to mute him out!
after watching takuya kimura imitate koyuki when ueno juri and tamaki hiroshi were guests on smap bistro, i cannot stop thinking of that scene and smirking during koyuki and takuya kimura's parts in ep 2.
Episode 4 is very much less boring compared to the earlier episodes. At last there is some fun in it. The banana phenomenon really makes Mr Brain more of a monkey.

I guess from what I'm reading so far, I and my wife must be in a minority group because we like watching drama's with Kimutaku. We liked Pride, Engine, Change, and that banking story. In change when he read his goodbye speech, he went through a range of emotions I have not seen in any Hollywood actor since the 'good old days' in a single long scene. As for BRAIN, I'll wait for the series to finish being put online somewhere to watch. But initially I too thought, uh oh, another Galileo clone...speaking of we just finished watching 'Galileo the Movie' last night...huge disappointment. I think Kim-Tak's agent really screwed up and got him this gig trying to ride the 'Galileo-Trick' gravy train. Can't always blame the actor...the script writers/producers have A LOT to do with the final product too. _________________

YES. i thought it was the best ep so far. loved Takeru's Sato character and storyline was unpredictable and kind of interesting. the story will be continued in ep5 with Yuki Nakama as a guest.
i can't believe that i am looking forward for the next ep of Mr Brain. somehow tsukumo's character is growing in me. and i am loving all these banana business with him and police.
appearantly we are going to see another side of hiro's cnaracter within few eps. thank god for that. his clumsy character is getting on my nerve. but he still is very cute to watch. _________________

Like and Dislike are just about the same. How can you like someone that you really don't know? That's what makes celebrities, celebrities. Either you like them or you dont like them.

From somewhat of a novice's POV (understatement I don't know who half of the people mentioned above are) I generally like this show. Its pure awesome. In fact I watched episode 2 a couple of weeks for Gackt simply enough, and I was drawn in. But not just to this show, but also to Asian dramas on the whole. I'm completely addicted. Still, this one is my favourite and I am a regular viewer.
Are people really not watching this show because it features celebrities they don't like? Thats a tad silly in my eyes. Especially if you like everything else about the show.
