dont know much about dream interpretation but someone told me before that if you interpret dreams based on freud's theory, everything revolves around sex. (correct me if i'm wrong) Bleah

All of freud's theories are based on sex. It reminds me of that Dr. Drew guy from Nightline (on the radio). Everytime someone has a relationship problem, he'd ask, "Were you sexually abused as a child?" As if that was the answer to everything...

On a somewhat related note, there are two great comic stories with the title, "A Dream of Flying." First and foremost is from Miracleman/Marvelman by Alan Moore. Second is the Astro City title by Kurt Busiek.

What if you dream of a dead person, whom you know, or even, whom you are close to? I've had this dream about a dead person, who i was extremely close too, and he seems so far away. What does it all mean?

I'm not an expert on dream analysis or anything, but I think that you are close to this person and his/her passing has been a hard blow for you. You're still in remorse of his/her passing and wish that he/she were back. Thus, you dream about him/her but at the same time, he/she is still at a distance in which you can't reach them which is true because they're gone. Sad Sorry if I've stirred up any sad feelings.

heres what it says in my book:

dead: dreaming about the dead is usually a warning. if the dreamer talks to his dead father, he is about to make a bad deal. he must take care. if he sees his dead mother, he must try to show more compassion and love toward his fellow man, if he sees his dead brother, relative or friend, he will be asked for charity.

death: contrary to what one might expect, dreaming about death heralds long and good life (now this i know! Mr Green ) a dream about the death of person who is actually ill means that he will recover soon.

Don't psychologists/psychiatrists say that every dream is a wish?
